Product Description
Now that everybody wears Rastafarian-flavored red, green and gold wristbands and the Signal De Plane and Pon De River dances have grown to Macarena-like proportions, you have Sean Paul (and the guy who actually invented these dances, the "Energy God" Elephant Man) to thank. This re-release intended for international markets trims the fat from the original Dutty Rock by losing the filler skits, songs ("It's On") and adding the previously unavailable "Baby Boy" single featuring Beyonceacute;'s seductive croons. This one's for fans who don't have Beyonceacute;'s Dangerously in Love album (the only other place to get this popular reggae-lite single) and those who want to renew their love affair with the Diwali riddim popularised on Paul's "Get Busy"--and subsequently re-sung on chart toppers by Lumidee ("Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)") and fellow dancehall vocalist Wayne Wonder ("No Letting Go"). --Dalton Higgins, Amazon.com

Gimme Da Light, 06 May 2006
this isnt that good but it doesnt make him different from any of artsits like the crap fake rubbish rock bands that make "real" music that is supposed to be "emotional" when its just poncy rubbish. He's pop, although get busy and like glue are good songs, the rest is pap. Dont pick a guitar and think you can make good music from that - u'd be mislead, look at busted
Don't give him the light!, 06 Mar 2006
One of the worst, unpolished albums I've heard for a longtime! - Although a few of his hits are on here, the other tracks are awful and give a very unprofessional and unpolished feel. If its Sean Paul vs Shaggy (like for like) Shaggy has no competiton whatsoever!
Fun Ting, 18 Oct 2005
Quite accessible and total fun throughout. This Grammy award winning album is full of catchy tunes and humorous lyrics. Sean Paul is sure to be around for a long while. Superbly-produced as well, packed with extras and practically faultless. Classy but rootsy at the same time. Reccomended.
Dancehall 4 Life, 25 Jan 2005
I grew up on raga. As a yout there was school, food, drink and raga. When I was old enough to hit the clubs at 15/16 I was raving to Tiger, Baju and Red Rat... Those were raga artists. Sean Paul has released two good tunes - 'give me the light' and 'like glue,' and even those tunes, although they are good they lean towards what I consider raga-pop. Sean Pauls album is for light weights who aren't into raw dancehall tunes, Sean Pauls 'give me the light' for instance isn't even comparable to Elephant mans 'Log off.' There's space in Raga for Sean Paul and at least he's better than pop artist Shaggy, however, those who recognise what true raga is need to stay away from Sean Paul or at least pick the cd up for 'easy listening' purposes only. This cd would be great for people who don't no anything about the genre of music that Sean Paul is attempting to immitate.

Sean Paul CD is very hot but without the commercial success of "Dutty Rock". He definitely gives a more futuristic and laid back sound on some...while giving a more "back to the roots' feel on others. Anyone expecting to hear anything exactly like "gimme the light" can put there money back into there pockets. The album isn't filled with a bunch of cameos. Sean Paul holds it down on his own for the most part bringing his unique flavor to his international fan base. Sean Paul worked with fellow Jamaican artists and producers for the most part for "The Trinity."
Some of the tracks that appeal to me are "Temperature, Head in the zone, We be burning, Ever Blazing, Yardie Bone, Never gonna be the same, Breakout, and Connection."
He also has a bonus track which is pretty deep that I love. Sean Paul overall made his mark again with this third LP. He has evolved and progressed in his sound for sure keeping the subject matter pretty much the same except for a few conscious and personal tracks here and there. You will enjoy this CD and don't be surprise that it will end up staying on rotation on your CD player for a good set......get it!

i like this album. it sounds fresh and hip and bang up to date despite its dance hall/reggae routes. i also like the fact how he makes dance hall so commercial where so many others have failed.
only downside to this album is the fact that it doesnt have the version of 'give it up to me' that has been released with keyshia cole.
otherwise; a very good effort and i cant wait for his next album! 100% better than his first album, 23 Mar 2006
I am a lover of bashment and ragga and definantley think Sean Paul has incorperated this in his album. I wasn't keen on all the tracks from his first album, but I am HUGE! fan of the trinity. If you are like me a bashment and dancehall fan then I suggest you definatley should buy this album. If you are however unaware of what dancehall really is and like the tracks Sean Paul has released I suggest you think twice about buying this album, as you may not like it. Its an album you either love or hate. Still At It, 08 Mar 2006
We all know that truely liking Sean Paul is an aquired taste, but if you are thinking of comparing The Trinity to his previous album (Dutty Rock), then all I can say is that it comes a close second to the former. There aren't going to be as many big hits from The Trinity as there were from Dutty Rock such as "Like Glue", "Gimmie The Light", "Get Busy" or "Still In Love With You". However, the new album does have some killer tracks on it such as "We Be Burning", "Temperature" and "Eye Deh A Mi Knee". Have no idea what the last one means but it has a good flow. If you are not sure about Sean yet but are looking for something to just dance to, then give this album a try, it certainly got me moving! Impressed!!, 03 Nov 2005
I heard Sean Paul's recent single We be burnin and i love that song its awsum!! . I decided to buy the album to find what the other songs sound like and i was really impressed. Every song on the album is technically very good and worth listening too. Buy this Album if you love hip hop/ reggae. ITS WORTH IT!!!!

This is dancehall rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. I love 'Dutty Rock' by Sean Paul, it's probably my favourite all-time CD, and 'Trinity' as well' but this one, there's nothing on it that I like. I know dancehall takes some getting into, but I can't see myself getting to like any of this.
A nice debut Album from the prince of Dance Hall, 24 Jun 2007
This album is fantastic when "Stage One" first came out I was simply addicted to it plus the artist himself. I must agree with some of the reviewers that say that there are too many skits on this 21-track album. Still, there are some enjoyable tunes here, namely the hit single, "Infiltrate," which burned up dancehalls with its pumping beat, and "Hot Gal Today," a duet with ultra-hot DJ Mr. Vegas, which displays an interesting blend of Sean Paul's hard voice with Vegas' smoother vocals. "Faded," a take on Shania Twain's "Looks Like We Made It," also illustrates clever treatment.
I had this album on repeat for a long time. Some of the beats you might had already heard but with Sean Paul's voice over it, it makes a whole new sound. I can't pick out a favorite track in this album because I love it so much but if I had to it would be "Infiltrate," "Deport Them," "Haffi Get De Gal Ya," "She Want it," "Mek It Go So Den," "Check it Deeply," and "Next Generation."
While this album is not one of the best Dancehall Reggae has to offer, Sean Paul's debut album makes for a good intro to those who are seriously looking for a true Dancehall Reggae album. Anyone who likes dancehall and are unsure about whether or not to get this album, believe me this would be a nice start. Nothing but back to back non-stop dancehall music and most importantly it's all Sean Paul.
Sean Paul is the don dappa, 22 Oct 2000
I think this ablum presents the jamican music & their culture to the fullest.Sean Paul is the next largest thing to come out of kingston jamica.

I thought this was a good song when I heard it for the first time but now that I bought it and have listened to it for the hundrenth time. I just want to ring Mr Pauls neck for making such a irritataing song.

top album, 01 Apr 2008
top album recemend it to any one its a before you go out album the first time i heard it was about 4 years ago and never got board ov it. hope this has helped you Gimme Da Light, 06 May 2006
this isnt that good but it doesnt make him different from any of artsits like the crap fake rubbish rock bands that make "real" music that is supposed to be "emotional" when its just poncy rubbish. He's pop, although get busy and like glue are good songs, the rest is pap. Dont pick a guitar and think you can make good music from that - u'd be mislead, look at busted Don't give him the light!, 06 Mar 2006
The CD is HOT!!!!!!!!!!, 24 Jun 2007
[] The Trinity, 23 Nov 2006
i like this album. it sounds fresh and hip and bang up to date despite its dance hall/reggae routes. i also like the fact how he makes dance hall so commercial where so many others have failed.
only downside to this album is the fact that it doesnt have the version of 'give it up to me' that has been released with keyshia cole.
otherwise; a very good effort and i cant wait for his next album!
What can I say....., 07 Sep 2008
Sean Paul only has to speak for me, let alone sing...... fantastic voice, lyrics etc. - all his works are mind blowing!
it sucks, 30 Nov 2007
