How do Disney do it. They seem to have that magic touch with everything they do and this album is no exception. Although my son is only quite young he still loves this album every time I put it on and I have to admit that so do I.
If you have seen any of the films (which I imagine is most of you) then you have to get this album. Time and time again you will be whisked away back to the wonderful world of Disney films and animation. Okay I am rambling but it is a very good album. 5 stars!!!
Reasonably worth it, 23 Oct 2006
This album is great for any fan of disney, no matter how old. I bought this after realizing just how many classic disney songs I yearned to hear again and they are all here. From Aladdin to Cinderella, the Lion King to The Lady and the Tramp, you'll find them all here.
The only thing that I did find slightly disappointing was that a lot of the songs have been re-done by over artists as opposed to the original movie versions. For example, Shaggy's version of Under the Sea from 'The Little Mermaid' is a great disappointment as opposed to the infamous original. The lack of some favourites such as 'I just can't wait to be king' from The Lion King and 'One Jump Ahead' from Aladdin, is also annoying.
However despite this it is a great collection and great for parties and for just having a good time.
Disney Magic for all to hear!!, 18 Sep 2006
This is a great CD for everyone! The songs, though mostly not the same versions that were used in the films, are excellent. Notable examples are the obvious ballads: Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Beauty and the Beast, A Whole New World and Colours of the Wind. But, there are also some really good ones that aren't so famous, from the more low profile films: Can't Help Falling in Love, from Lilo and Stitch, I'll Try, from Return to Neverland, and Someday, from Hunchback of Notre Dame. They are all different, but still great tunes! Another good point is they way they've, for want of a better word, re-mixed certain well known songs, such as Under the Sea, by Shaggy (although admittedly I've heard a somewhat better version by the A*Teens, but there we go!), and He Lives In You, a great version by Tina Turner!
This CD is the perfect Disney compilation. Yes, there aren't as many well-known songs as you'd expect, but most of the tracks are great, and the best Disney songs are here anyway! Also, though with most of the songs they don't use the version in the films, the single versions which they do use are the longer, better tracks! If you're into Disney, buy it! If you're not into Disney, then for one thing I don't know why your looking here, but for another, buy it! it will provide you hours of good listening, and you won't regret it!
All Disney-Lovers: get this cd now!, 18 Jul 2006
If you like Disney, this is an album to get.
I've got it and I've put all the songs on my iPod and they're cool to listen to everywhere. Some are original songs, others are sung by other people but the same song.
I like it but it doesn't have "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2 which is a song I enjoy.

My son loves this CD and often asks for it to be on at breakfast (much to my wife's annoyance !)
Compared to other children's CDs I have to say it's the least irritating , but one thing that irks is some songs have a couple of verses while others (usually the ones you really like !) only have little snippets

The music is the point!, 09 Sep 2008
One of the things which makes Charlie & Lola so good is the music in the episodes. This cd contains extended versions of that music - superbly arranged and wonderfully put together. Our daughter loves it, as do we! Don't be put off by the one star reviews - they are missing the point as it is the music, not the songs or lack of them, which this cd celebrates.
All the family loves it!! Clever stuff., 30 Aug 2008
This is a very cleverly produced CD. It is the background/incidental music and some main themes from the TV series with dialogue from the characters over the top of some of it. Together these, kind of, illustrate the story the music comes from. Its not, however, a simple "story-record" some parents might remember. Very dancable, my 4 year old boy and 18 month old girl love it and they don't need to see C&L to be able to enjoy them. Both of them can recognise the music and the older one can tell you which stories they come from.
Musically it's very rich in different instruments and clever arrangements and timings, but catchy too, nothing elitist or inaccessable here, just good musical fun. The other positive reviews say it all too. The negative ones? Well I guess you just can't please all of the people all of the time!
superb!, 29 Jun 2008
this cd is superb, my two little girls who are huge charlie and lola fans jump around the room dancing to this cd, we also listen to it in the car - our fave is "We ve got a chicken..." well worth the money
Charlie and Lola RIP OFF...DO NOT BUY, 30 May 2008
My daughter is obsessed with Charlie and Lola and loves singing. We ordered this and are very disappointed. You may as well put on the DVD without the picture. This is not a song DVD. It has instrumentals then extracts from the series. No proper sing a long songs. Spend your money on something else. It is getting so that they can stick Charlie and Lola on anything and sell it. Don't fall for it this time.
Fabulous!, 08 Nov 2007
This cd is my 3 year old's absolute favourite! we've onlty had it a week and its been played non stop. There is a mixture of stories and songs that are enchanting! The germs song makes my daughter roar with laughter and the Bestest in the Barn prooved very popular at her birthday party! If you like Charlie and Lola then its a must!!

Great CD, thoroughly recommend it!, 18 Jun 2008
Bought this CD after reading the positive reviews and I'm really glad I did. Our 2-year-old girl loves it and despite playing it over and over again we haven't got fed up with it, which is praise indeed!
Disagree with the reviewer who didn't like the male vocalist's voice. I think it's a pleasant change to hear an English accent with perfect diction.
Great opening track which gets our daughter dancing and our feet tapping immediately!
Really not that good or different, 27 May 2008
I bought this album as a result of all the positive reviews. However, I don't agree with them. Yes, there is a very slight 'twist' in that some of the songs start with different beats or musical styles. BUT, the nursery rhymes are sung by two annoyingly 'stage school' sounding singers, particularly the chap. His voice is so irritating that I can't listen to it. Plus they are basically the same as the much cheaper, but much better, BBC nursery rhyme albums I bought.
A waste of money as it isn't really any different. Buy 'Colours Are Brighter' if you want a truly alternative childs album or any of the They Might be Giant CDs.
Lana Nimmo, 16 Mar 2008
It's great and cheerful and our one year old daughter loves dancing to it. It also is the kind of CD that does not drive the parents insane when listening to it again and again. I thoroughly recommend it.
The Best Nursery Rhyme CD, 11 Oct 2007
This is quite simply the best nursery rhyme CD I have heard. All of the songs are really fun and the whole family loves to listen to it. Top marks!
Oxbridge baby nursery rhymes , 29 Aug 2007
We were pleased with this CD. The music is played and sung well, and I can't see it getting on our nerves for quite some time. There is one reviewer who said he was worried that his child would look silly at school because the melodies are so different, but they seem to be quite close to the originals (as I remember them) to me. Anyway, children learn quickly so it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The only drawbacks are the cost of this and the fact that there's no song sheet inside for all those parents who've forgotten the lyrics. On the whole though, worth having.

Oh dear, 03 Sep 2007
I bought this because I didn't remember any nursery rhymes and wanted to sing them with my daughter. It arrived in a double CD case and I thought 'oh good'. Only to find it's one CD of half finished songs. 10 green bottles finishes at 6, Nelly the elephant has no second verse, I could go on. Save your money on this one.
Quantity not Quality, 28 May 2007
I have been looking at the best albums for children and have seen this title is there quite a lot. Well don't be fooled, I have a copy and although there are loads of nursery rhymes on it you really wouldn't want to listen to many of them.
Boring is one word that describes this album. It is a shame that the people who make these kind of things think they can put loads of titles onto a CD and that will make it good, it doesn't!!!
Very Enjoyable, 13 May 2007
I have been enjoying playing this cd to entertain our new baby and particularly like the fact that it came with a booklet of words so I can learn them all!!
Brilliant, 09 Mar 2007
My son likes this and I play it at the mother & toddler group I run. Songs are in various styles and children won't get bored listening. Grown ups would like the songs too, as you even have a 'Tony Bennett like' voice singing one of the songs.

Not As Good As Album 1, 30 Aug 2008
I hate to criticise Lazytown because we love it and everything it stands for - but we are a bit disappointed by the music on this CD compared to the first CD. It is by the same person/lyricists, however, it does not have the energy/dance qualities of the first album - and it is spoilt by the distracting/off-putting american accents of the puppets which are not the real voices from the shows and are so different that it sounds like they have all become teenagers and everyone's voice has broken! My other criticism of this product is that the DVD is not as good because there is not an option to play ALL songs- you have to keep going in and out of menus to play each tune which is annoying because I can't leave my kids watching it and get on with the housework as I am continuously pressing buttons to get to each tune! disappointing.
No one's Lazy with the Lazytown CD!, 24 Jun 2008
Lazytown is a fantastic way to get kids in to exercise and healthy eating, not to mention being great entertainment. Since every show has a song, it's only logical that they should release an album.
This 'New Album' is a sequel to the first and contains some of the best tunes from the series. You really need both to get all the classic songs, but this one is really catchy, especially the euro-dance style 'Anything Can Happen' and the catchy 'When you play in a band' songs.
As well as all the usual songs, the album contains Karaoke versions without the singing. It's a bit annoying that these appear in the middle of the album, though. Lastly, there's a DVD of song videos, along with the words on screen.
The only thing that might surprise you after watching the UK show is that the puppet's voices are different. This is because they've revoiced them for the UK show and the singers on this album are the US voices. It doesn't really detract from the music, though and my 2 daughters (aged 2 and 3) insist on having this on in the car whenever we go out. I can't think of a better recommendation than that!
NO ONE is lazy in LazyTown!, 18 Oct 2007
This is the 3rd CD {first double album!} that Icelandic based show LAZYTOWN has released in the UK {the first 2 items being an album of 20 songs from the shows first season, and a Christmas single that reached number 4 in the UK charts!}
The 1st disc of this 2-disc album mainly features songs from the shows 2nd season.
The first disc features 45 pieces of music =
1. NO ONE IS LAZY IN LAZYTOWN {2007 version} 2:39
2. BING BANG ROCK 0:50
3. WHEN WE PLAY IN A BAND 2:02
4. WE WILL BE FRIENDS 2:22
5. WE GOT ENERGY 1:38
6. TIME TO START THE SHOW 1:59 {makes sense when you've seen the episode THE LAZYTOWN CIRCUS.}
7. TIME TO PLAY 1:52
8. GREATEST GENIE 1:37 {the first time anyone other than the 9 main LazyTowners has sung a song!}
9. TECHNO GENERATION 1:26 {longer than when featured in the episode LAZYTOWN GOES DIGITAL.}
10. STORY TIME 1:34
11. SNOW, GIVE ME SNOW 1:52
12. PLAYING ON THE PLAYGROUND 2:06 {longer than when featured in the episode THE HAUNTED CASTLE.}
13. NEW GAMES EVERY DAY 1:36
14. LETS GO 2:21 {a new Sportacus song!}
15. LAZY ROCKETS 1:34 {inspired by GREASED LIGHTNING!}
16. I WANNA DANCE 1:19
17. I LIKE LEARNING 1:36
18. FUN TO BE THE MAJOR 1:25
19. COLOURS 1:53 {longer than when featured in the episode PIXEL TV.}
20. CLEAN UP 1:47
then 20 karaoke sing-along songs {all on the same disc!}
21. NO ONE IS LAZY IN LAZYTOWN {2007 version} 2:40
22. BING BANG ROCK 0:50
23. WHEN WE PLAY IN A BAND 2:02
24. WE WILL BE FRIENDS 2:22
25. WE GOT ENERGY 1:39
26. TIME TO START THE SHOW 2:00
27. TIME TO PLAY 1:52
28. GREATEST GENIE 1:38
29. TECHNO GENERATION 1:26
30. STORY TIME 1:34
31. SNOW, GIVE ME SNOW 1:52
32. PLAYING ON THE PLAYGROUND 2:07
33. NEW GAMES EVERY DAY 1:35
34. LETS GO 2:21
35. LAZY ROCKETS 1:35
36. I WANNA DANCE 1:19
37. I LIKE LEARNING 1:36
38. FUN TO BE THE MAJOR 1:26
39. COLOURS 1:53
40. CLEAN UP 1:47
then 5 more songs!
41. Bing Bang {time to dance single mix} 3:15
42. Welcome to LazyTown {Christmas version} 0:50
43. Anything can happen 1:20
44. Good to be bad 2:02
45. Bing Bang {circus version} 0:44
Duration of this CD = 79 minutes, 20 seconds.
Like the first LazyTown album, on this album you will hear Trixie, Ziggy, Pixel and Stingy {the puppets} sing with American accents.
However, unlike the first album, this CD comes with song words!
This albums second disc {which can be watched on your TV or PC} contains 24 music videos...... well 12 really, but each video is duplicated.
Each of the 12 songs has a music video WITH subtitles, perfect for singing along to! or WITHOUT, perfect for dancing to!
The 12 music videos = Colours, Fun to be the mayor, Lazy Rockets, Let's Go, New games every day, Playing on the playground, Story time, Techno generation, Time to start the show, We've got the energy, We will be friends and When we play in a band {the puppets sing with American accents in the videos too.}
There are also 2 games on the 2nd disc.
They are both memory games that will DEFINATELY challenge little LazyTown lovers.
To summarise, this is the best CD that LazyTown has released in the UK so far.
LazyTown fans young {and young at heart!} will love it, love it, love it!
UTTERLY FABULOUS!

The only drawbacks are the cost of this and the fact that there's no song sheet inside for all those parents who've forgotten the lyrics. On the whole though, worth having.
This is the 3rd CD {first double album!} that Icelandic based show LAZYTOWN has released in the UK {the first 2 items being an album of 20 songs from the shows first season, and a Christmas single that reached number 4 in the UK charts!}
The 1st disc of this 2-disc album mainly features songs from the shows 2nd season.
The first disc features 45 pieces of music =

6. TIME TO START THE SHOW 1:59 {makes sense when you've seen the episode THE LAZYTOWN CIRCUS.}
7. TIME TO PLAY 1:52
8. GREATEST GENIE 1:37 {the first time anyone other than the 9 main LazyTowners has sung a song!}

18. FUN TO BE THE MAJOR 1:25

The 12 music videos = Colours, Fun to be the mayor, Lazy Rockets, Let's Go, New games every day, Playing on the playground, Story time, Techno generation, Time to start the show, We've got the energy, We will be friends and When we play in a band {the puppets sing with American accents in the videos too.}
There are also 2 games on the 2nd disc.
They are both memory games that will DEFINATELY challenge little LazyTown lovers.
To summarise, this is the best CD that LazyTown has released in the UK so far.
LazyTown fans young {and young at heart!} will love it, love it, love it!
UTTERLY FABULOUS!

Pure Class, 18 May 2007
How do Disney do it.
Singalong, 18 Nov 2008
My son loves this CD and often asks for it to be on at breakfast (much to my wife's annoyance !)
Compared to other children's CDs I have to say it's the least irritating , but one thing that irks is some songs have a couple of verses while others (usually the ones you really like !) only have little snippets
forget the kids u'll love this!!, 15 Mar 2008
I bought this for my 3 1/2yr old who wouldnt stop doing the hokey cokey, i caught her dad battling with her to put on superman!!! we all enjoyed prancing round to some good old party favourites, like the birdie song agadoo, simple simon. Definately worth the money.
what fun, 22 Feb 2008
forget any workout videos put this on with your little ones its really good fun the singing is your typical cheesey type but its in tune clear and my eldest daughter who doesnt entertain singing or dancing genuinely liked it shes 4 my youngest whos 20 moths was loving every second dancing and trying to do the actions i highly recommend this for anyone with young children who wants to do a workout and entertain the kids.
