This is everything everyone else says it is, 17 Dec 2008
I've had 3 mags - 2 x 3 cell and 1 mini, and I've always liked 'em, but they do not compare to this thing. This is one of those rare occasions where you find something that a company took pride in getting absolutely right without cutting corners. This is a fantastic torch that cannot be faulted. I don't need anything bigger or smaller or more powerful or with whiter light. Cheap at £26 - you'd pay that for a 3 cell club with a weak, yellow beam.
And even if you are a torchaholic and are worried that by buying this torch you are in danger of ending your quest, you can always invest in the other ones, as they include a wee catalogue with it.
I still keep my mag by my bed tho...I can blind a burglar with the Lenser, then do whatever else needs to be done with the 3-cell...
Its only a torch, 06 Dec 2008
Read the reviews of this item and couldn't understand how people were getting excited about some thing as boring as a torch. However I did need a new torch and since it was rated very high I brought this model. I now understand, its just so good! I wanted to replace my mini-mag with an LED equivalent, its is easily as well made as mag, but in addition to the mag its much brighter, and since it uses an LED the battery will last much longer. It seems to have managed to focus the light perfectly so that maximum light is where you point the torch and you don't loose anything around the edges, I assume this is why it appears much brighter than a conventional torch.
I brought this item at a reduced cost, but can easily see how they can charge £40 for a torch - I'm a very satisfied customer.
The best ever - seriously., 04 Dec 2008
I've always had Maglites and thought them to be OK....strong enough but never that bright. Just received the LED LENSER POLICE TECH FOCUS from Amazon. Absolutely superb! Light, small, well built and incredibly powerful for a torch using 3 x AA's. An intense light with a slightly bluish tinge which is no problem. The Maglite light looks very dull and yellowish by comparison. Million times better than Maglite. Thoroughly recommended and good service from Amazon as usual.
Ideal for work or play., 10 Nov 2008
I used to carry a 3-cell maglite and a mini-maglite for work - not any more.
If you can get one the brightness of a large 3-cell torch in the size of a pocket, why have two?!
This torch is about twice the width of the mini-maglite, but the same length - so it still fits well on your belt. (even with a leatherman.)
The big plus is I can get rid of both maglites.
It's not cheap - but it's worth the money.
Best small torch for the money, 09 Nov 2008
This torch is very bright and the build quality is excellent. The focus ability sets it apart. You could spend alot more money on an LED torch but there is no point. I would highly recommend this torch to anyone looking to upgrade to LED.

Very good, 25 Dec 2008
I bought this when it was £29.99 on Amazon which is what you would pay to rent it from Mothercare. It is easy to use and fairly convenient because of the belt clip and and neck cord. I spent the first 40 hours of labour at home (slow contractions) and was really glad I had this to keep me going. I ended up using it (and it alone) for the remaining 9 hours of labour at the hospital too.
It took the edge off the pain and helped me to manage the contractions better. The intensity adjustment button was a bit hard to press (manufacturing defect?) and I used this button a good deal, so I had to keep checking the screen to make sure the intensity had gone up when I'd asked it to, but otherwise it was fine. I would also invest in a spare pack of electrodes because mine kept slipping off the spot and needed readjusting (although they did not lose their effectiveness because of this) and I felt that they should have had better adhesion.
At £19.99 (current price) I'd say this is a great bargain - remember, this is all you'll have while you labour at home and it could take ages!

Brilliant, no complaints, 09 Dec 2008
I was given a Grobag Egg free when I purchased two grobags online and it was only after I had one that I heard about the poor reviews on Amazon. I personally think the egg is fantastic. I'm not sure it's worth £20 but mine is accurate (I have a BT monitor which I also recommend) and the egg agrees with the other room thermometers I have. It is great the way it changes colour as you know when you wake up if the temperature is suitable. I would recommend it highly.
Looks great and shows exactly the right temperature... is everyone elses broken?, 29 Nov 2008
I was in two minds whether or not to buy this because of all the bad reviews about it being inaccurate, but I thought 'What the heck, I can always send it back'. I'm so glad I took the risk because this little gadget is great! It looks brilliant, giving a lovely soft glow to the nursery and the colours are a great visual indicator of the temperature which save you stumbling around in the dark trying to peer at a non-light up one. On the subject of the thermometer being inaccurate, I have to say it is definately not a problem with my egg as I have compared it to an extreamly accurate thermocouple thermometer and they always read no more than 0.1 of a degree apart. I don't know whether there has been a bad batch of these eggs going out to cause them to give the wrong reading, but it's definately not all of them. One of the best things I've brought for the nursery.
I love my egg!, 21 Nov 2008
If I had to pick a nursery product that I couldn't do without, it would be this one. I have never had any problems with the temperature reading, it is always accurate. Can only assume the people who've experienced problems have eggs that maybe had a manufacturing fault.
Works for us!!, 05 Nov 2008
We purchased this item a week ago and have found it to be extremely accurate (It correlates with readings from two other thermometers).
The colour coded output is also very handy as you only need to glance into babys room to check that the room temperature is OK.
I understand that the latest Grobag Eggs have a relocated temperature sensor (moved from top of connector to rear of connector) which reduces incidence of false temperature readings - maybe its just the older units that have the problems ??
We are very happy with our purchase.
Served us well for years, 07 Oct 2008
We have had an egg for a couple of years now. Our daughters bedroom is subject to extreme temp changes and we needed to be able to see what the temperature was in the dark. The egg seemed to be the perfect solution, and it has been. It has a lovely glow as a night light, and it has always been accurate enough to warn us when we need to open her windows (summer time!) or put extra blankets over her (sometimes her room becomes so cold that we have to put the heating on in the middle of the night!).
If you live in a modern home with proper central heating and insulation, then you probably don't really need a bedroom thermometer (or perhaps you'll be one of these people worrying about a thermometer being one or two degrees out!), but if you are worried that your child's bedroom will not hold it's temperature well at night, then the Egg really is the best thing on the market.

Totally agree with the other reviewer - my son loves this - it was a surprise for Xmas for him and he was really pleased with it. Not a huge amount of bubble bath in it, and I wish the legs could move too, but then it's not really a functioning toy. Great aesthetic appeal for all the Dr Who fans out there. Excellent. Oh, one more thing... DELETE!!!!!

Never Used, 20 Nov 2008
The potty was well manufactured and very sturdy although our son simply refused to use it and never sat on it once. He did play with the music by putting his hand in and out of the bowl. It would be unfair to say that the refusal to use it was due to any design faults etc so I am rating the product on quality of build only.
A bit of a pain to clean., 15 Aug 2008
Looks a great design. It is quite sturdy . This is my 3rd child to potty train and i found this not so good as the other potties encourage their knees up and bottom lower than their knees which helps aid the process.
Also i have found that pooh gets stuck in the screw underneath the back of the seat so a pain to keep clean .I'd go for the traditional potty next time.
Great product-but can buy cheaper elsewhere!!, 24 Jun 2007
This is a great fun way to teach potty training, & makes transisition to regular toilet much easier.
I would suggest you search round though, can be bought much cheaper from
www.additionsdirect.com
Is only £30:00 with £3:50 P&P.
Royal wash out, 28 Sep 2006
I bought one of these potties for my little girl to have in her room as I thought it would encourage her to get out of bed to wee in the night. It did just that a couple of times but then we found that if the sensor gets wet (which it does, very easily) then the potty no longer plays its tunes resulting in a very disappointed little girl. Also, there is a gap between the seat unit and the removeable potty section which is just wide enough for a well aimed wee to escape through resulting in a very wet floor and a disappointed mummy!

Fantastic potty, my son did it in less then a week!, 24 Sep 2005
A fantastic item, i totally recommend it and i'm sure my 2yr old will too! He hated the other pottys as just didnt feel secure whilst sitting on them. He loves the fanfare it plays and has no problem sitting on there for as long as necessary (sometimes longer - its hard to get him off it!). Downside: The bottom can fall out easy so you have to be careful of spillages and if its not on accurately my son has leaked out the side when hes going. Other then that very easy to use and has made this potty training malarky a hell of alot easier then i expected!

Looks better than the real thing!, 28 Dec 2008
Totally agree with the other reviewer - my son loves this - it was a surprise for Xmas for him and he was really pleased with it. Not a huge amount of bubble bath in it, and I wish the legs could move too, but then it's not really a functioning toy. Great aesthetic appeal for all the Dr Who fans out there. Excellent. Oh, one more thing... DELETE!!!!!
Cyberman bubble bath, 16 Oct 2008
A really good buy for any young Doctor Who fan & practical. The bottle can also be used as a toy afterwards.
The idea is great - the actual item is not! Shame.

Good Value Essential Refills, 25 Jan 2008
If you own a Philishave Coolskin shaver, you are sooner or later going to need refills of the lotion cartridges. These come in a standard pack of five and at this price are very good value.
I find that typically one cartridge lasts a good few weeks if you shave every day, and you get a new cartridge head with every pack, so not much clogging up in the shaver either.
The Coolskin is a great shaver, and to get the most out of it make sure you keep stocked up on these as they really help the skin whilst making shaving a smoother, more comfortable experience.
Good, but finish too quickley, 04 Sep 2007
There is no doubt in my mind that these moisturising cartridges really have a positive effect and live up to thier name. However, what the adverts don`t tell us is that each one can be gone in 2/3 shaves alone! 5 would last you about 10/15 shaves, but is it money well spent? I think it is, beacause these cartridges won`t exactly break you bank account but if you have any sort of doubt in their effectiveness at all then don`t buy them. I haven`t bought any in a while now becayse of how tiny the ammount of actual gel is but I am starting to miss thier lovely feeling and I will probably get some in the near future. My advise: if you don`t know them don`t get them but if you love them then do.

Quite useful, 23 Nov 2008
Apart from the air freshener (if your car has a dubious odour then fix it don't make it more complicated) the gadgets in this kit are fit for their purpose and no lady's car should be without them.
The jump leads are on the short side, but if you park up snugly they will cope with all but the largest vehicles.
If you want to extract yourself from an inverted car with the seat belt cutter then keep it within reach, not in the boot!
The Pink Car kit, 27 Oct 2008
I have had this kit over 2 years now and I am so pleased with it.
It has come in handy on so many occasions!
Everything is still in working order and very good quality.
I have never had to replace the batteries in the torch either.
How Cool Is This??!!!, 03 Nov 2005
I love this kit, it fits perfectly under my passenger seat although its so cute I want to show it off! All the products are really nifty and good quality and the freshener smells lush!

The idea is great - the actual item is not! Shame.
Fantastic till water gets in the beaker............, 24 Aug 2008
This item seemed fantastic, til a drop of water got into the bottom of the beaker, so it no longer flashes.
All in all disappointing, what does a plastic waterproof plug on the bottom cost?
The toothbrush is cheap and nasty, but at least it lasted longer than the beaker.
Typical cheap tat aimed at kids to rip off parents etc.

Customer Reviews

As soon as my 2 year old daughter seen this potty she took an immediate intrest in it. She'll sit on the potty and start exploring the noises and sounds it makes. She even wanted to bring the potty in her room and sleep with it! It wouldn't surprise me if shes fully potty trained in a week with this!
