relaxing and tranquil!, 23 Jul 2008
sorry to see that this CD has got a bad review as I think it is wonderful. My son can't go to sleep without it, it really helps him to relax and unwind. I think the fact that it isn't the original version is good, as the tracks are shorter and don't get too loud which is often the case with classical music. I really like listening to it too, I think it is well made!
Fantastic, 22 Mar 2008
Have played this CD at bedtime for my daughter since she was born and have found it very calming, perfect as part of her bedtime routine. I believe that she enjoys the music and has learnt to associate the CD with winding down. I think the CD is a lovely introduction to classical music, with the individual tracks being short and played in a perfect style for little ears. I really recommend it.
nice, easy listening, 27 Feb 2008
i found the CD nice to listen to, never been a gerat lover of classical music but this CD is calming and relaxing. i play the CD at bath time and at night when winding down. my daughter seems to like it as much as her nursery rhymes. i think this CD would be nice to listen to when you are pregnant. i think it is a nice introduction to classical music.
Oh dear..., 22 Feb 2008
None of the music on this CD is as you will have heard it before, sadly it has been ruined and made into Musak or 'elevator music' which I personally find irritating in the extreme.
I've tried playing it through a few of times, hoping that my son might get some enjoyment out of it even if I couldnt, but he seems uninterested and to be honest I'm glad, it doesnt get any better with time and now its gathering dust.
Really disappointed! Stick to the real thing!

Great, even for older children, 31 Aug 2008
This was bought for my second child, who is now 2, but my 5 year old found it in the cd rack and wanted to listen to it, she loves it and insits on putting it on every night, she says it helps her to go to sleep! (and it does, I don't think she has even listened to the last few tracks as she is asleep before the end) Looking to buy some more now!
mad about mozart, 01 Aug 2008
I hated this at first, it is totally pared down mozart- and played it only on headphones to the foetus. Now he is born, we both absolutely love it and often it soothes me more than baby!!!

Not a CD that an adult could put up with for a long time when travelling..., 06 Oct 2008
Adopting the usual Baby Einstein "plinky-plonky" approach to the classics, this CD is now banned from our car for long distance travel. The kids might enjoy it, I don't know for sure though as I get a more positive reaction to the new James Morrison CD than I do to this. When trying to deal with the stresses of motorway travel, this CD will probably hinder and not help when trying to remain calm.

Wake UP and Goodnight, 24 Sep 2008
The music is wonderful but my only criticism would be that when it comes to putting my boy to bed, I need to skip all the morning music as it is too energetic and fantastic for the morning. I would have thought that 2 CD's would have been a better choice and maybe a few more songs, I seem to run out of night time melodies just as he is closing his eyes.

you either like or loath BE but it does make the day go easier..., 24 Nov 2006
With twins, the day can be hard sometimes, but one thing we can rely on to help calm them when they get over excited or upset is Baby Einstein(BE).
We have a number of DVDs and now CDs, this being the latest to the collection. When times get difficult the DVD goes on and there is an instant calming reaction. The twins both smile at various clips and characters. However we don't like to leave the TV on too long and this is where the CDs help. Music does help the day go by and the twins both like it. I prefer the classical music to the nursery rhymes playing or pop music in the background. This mix is a nice mix of different paced music to help when playing, though personally we now have a number of different albums and they all play back to back to last the day.
BE is a little easier for the children to listen to than a full orchestral rendition, and through the day you find yourself humming along to the tunes or singing to the children as you recognise the pieces.
I personally think BE is a must for anyone with children and much better to listen or watch to than commercial TV or pop music at a young age.

Baby Vivaldi, 19 Sep 2003
What a fantastic idea. I have always loved Vivaldi and now my daughter who is 14 months old loves it. The first time I played it for her she started to bounce up and down excitedly. She has now learnt how to turn on the cd player so she can listen to her cd when ever she wants to. I'm sure other babies will find it as enjoyable as we do.
