Product Description
These days entertainment is all about synergy and cross-merchandising baby, from the "free" toys at the burger joint to the pay-per-view rights, soundtrack CD, T-shirt sales, and cereal endorsements, et al. The wrestling establishment has become increasingly savvy at such activity, and this CD would seem to be the culmination of this marketing ethos. WCW Mayhem brings together new and exclusive tracks from some of the hottest hip-hop (Cypress Hill, Lyrical Giants), metal (Metallica, Slayer), and hip-hop-metal acts (Kid Rock, ICP) as well as the entrance themes for the hottest WCW superstars (from Goldberg to the Nitro Girls). Does it deliver? Absolutely; this disc is as rowdy and entertaining, boastful and testosterone-fuelled as the sport that it celebrates. --Mike McGonigal

WCW Mayhem-Decent wrestling compilation., 08 Mar 2002
WCW Mayhem-The Music features many songs, but unfortunately, only half are good and wrestling-related. For example, DDP's catchy theme tune is cut awfully short, as are many of the other superstar entrance themes. Curt Hennig and The West Texas Rednecks sing "Rap is C**p", one of the best tunes on the CD. This CD is fairly good, but many WCW superstars are missing. I would recommend this to hardcore WCW fans like myself, and maybe to heavy metal fans, as there are a few songs that may appeal to them even if they don't like wrestling.
Absolutly Rubbish, 15 Jul 2001
My Friend brought it for me as a birthday prestant because it had the words WCW on it and he's a mad Wrestling fan. I'm not a wrestling fan but I usally like Limp Bizkit so I gave it a go. It was A load of rubbish. I didn't give it back to my fried to give it back to where it came from beacuse it would have been out of order on my friend. I kept it in my CD collection and every time my friend comes around I have to put it on. It pains me to hear it. Don't get it. Absoluty Rubbish.
WCW the Music is Poor, 13 Jul 2001
WCW attempts to follow it's rival the WWF into the music world. This album is a collection of music and superstar themes. There are several good tracks on the Disc like ICP's Take It used for Vampiro's entrance music. Invasion and Crush Em' the two themes used by Goldberg are very good tracks. Also the NWO Wolfpack theme is included and so is Buff Bagwell's Buff Daddy. DDP gets his music 'Self High Five' on the disc as well. However the rest of the album isn't that good really I mean who listens to the Nitro theme? It would have been better if they stuck to superstar themese like WWF does and not include almost every bit of music used, like say the music they use during a merchandise commercial. I got the album and would only recommend a real WCW fan, who really loves the music to get it, because apart from a few tracks the rest of the album is poor. Though there is one track on there 'Rap is Crap' which will have you laughing, but I doubt that'll tempt you to fork out for this CD....
A wicked c.d, 12 Jul 2000
This c.d has a lot of great songs including Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Sting and DDP. They are short but are very good any way. It also has the nitro theme on it. It is a good buy and well recomended
A Superb CD for all, 13 Mar 2000
This CD has been long awaited among WCW fans. And it doesn't disappoint. The re-worked Smell Like Teen Spirit is a superb example of how good this CD is. Don't miss out!

For Wrestling AND Music Fans.., 21 Dec 2006
I'm not a big wrestling fan atall, and originally only bought this CD for the songs by Our Lady Peace, Drowning Pool and Creed.
But having heard them, i noticed other songs such as 'Ride Of Your Life' and 'Never Gonna Stop' were extremely good aswell. Also the slightly more discreet bands like Stereomud and Boy Hits Car have fantastic songs on this CD, with Lovefurypassionenergy being my favourite song on the album.
This CD is not just for wrestling fans, it's also a great album for any of the millions of music lovers out there.
Personal favourites:
Whatever - Our Lady Peace
One of a Kind - Breaking Point
Live for the Moment - Monster Magnet
End of Everything - Stereomud
Lovefurypassionenergy - Boy Hits Car

Best album so far. Some of the tracks have stood the test of time, and are still being used today. This shows how good the songs are. Perfect partner to WWE Anthology - Also worth a look. ROCK ON WRESTLING!!!
Well worth it!, 12 Nov 2003
This may be a little out of date now but it still has good stuff on there its also a perfect companion to WWE RAW 2 for x-box 'cause you can get R.V.D's real music amongst others. Besides that any wwe fan would have this in thier collection purley because it has trax loved and hated across the world. why not get the feel in your own room. Chant 'you suck' along with kurt angles theme or sceam in loving lust for 'Legs' stacys theme. Whoever you like or hate there bound to be one track on this that you can invent your own entrance routine on. Well worth buying.

Product Description
The appeal of this CD is at once limited and immense. A 14-song disc featuring the entrance theme songs of World Wrestling Federation superstars will be attractive mostly to WWF fans. But there's certainly several arenas full of those, and that carnivorous clan will certainly want to catch The Rock making his recording debut on "Pie", a skit/novelty song featuring Slick Rick. While a couple of tracks are repetitive instrumental entries with a few vocals, others are more fully developed songs: Motorhead's performanceof "The Game", Triple H's theme song, is raucous fun. The melodic andportentous "If You Dare", Tazz' theme song, is another winner. Ditto the moody "Out of the Fire" that announces Kane's entrance. Odd but appealing is "The One", Billy Gunn's theme song, and "I've Got It All", with its "Sweet Jane" melody line. From hip-hop to metal, this collection has something for every hardcore wrestling fan willing to "smackdown" their hard-earned bucks for the cause. --Katherine Turman

WWF Volume 5- The best WWF music CD, IT'S TRUE! IT'S TRUE!, 08 Mar 2002
This is the best WWF music CD so far. The tunes are catchy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, there are some bad ones. Billy Gunn's theme and The Rock's "PIE" are the worst, and I also wasn't fond of Triple H's theme and Rikishi's theme. The other songs are all great, my favourites are Raven's theme and Lita's theme. These songs are so good that I simply cannot give it less than 4.
theme music cd, 19 Feb 2002
This cd is okay if you love wwf's ''normal'' theme music, if you are looking for the better music, the type you would mind listening to with your friends around, try the agression cd, or tough enough, both of thesse are''nu~metal'' based, and endorse the wwf's new attitude. For me this in house music c.d just doesnt cut the mustard, the best tracks are Motorheads''I am the game'' (triple H), and Ravens what about me.
WWF music at it's best!!, 28 Aug 2001
WWF music volume 5 is a great CD. If you like WWF, you'll like this loads. Featuring the music you hear on TV every Smackdown, Raw is War and all the rest - it features the likes of Triple H, K-Kwick, Tazz and Kurt Angle. For the women - Chyna and Lita are there too. It is nice and up-to-date and simply GREAT!
absolutely amazing, 01 Jul 2001
I thought this CD was great as soon as i heard the first theme "the game" by Motorhead, which is one of the best tunes on it. My favourites are "pie", by the Rock, "shooter", Chris Benoit, Tazzs' and "I've got it all", Billy Gunn. the worst on it is "medal" - kurt Angle, as it is annoyong after you hear it loads of times. I also like Ravens and too cools "turn it up". overall i think this is a brilliant CD.

Product Description
They've got the moves, they've got the outfits, and yes, they've got the music. Anyone familiar with the part circus-sideshow, part rock-video testostoronefest of the World Wrestling Federation's Raw and Smackdown shows will recognize the entrance songs for the hottest stars in the WWF. These are the songs to which the wrestlers power up as they take the stage amidst flashing lights, fog machines, and rock kicks to challenge their rivals. The majority of tracks on this compilation are suitably high energy, with enough power chords and distorted vocals to make even doing your laundry seem edgy and potentially dangerous. Stone Cold Steve Austin's "Oh Hell Yeah" sounds like Ministry lite, Chris Jericho's "Break Down the Wall" is a catchy rap-metal number, and the Test's awesome theme song "This Is a Test" has been known to inspire twitchy, robotic dances in its listeners. By far the most entertaining song on this CD is Mr. Ass's cleverly entitled "I'm an Ass Man." With lines like "Buns of glory, buns of steel, your eyes will give away the truth of how I feel" you know he is serious about the subject of ass. For the more romantic wrestling fan, Mark Henry's "Sexual Chocolate" provides a smooth, Barry White-like change of pace. Not all songs on this CD have the same verve. Mankind's "Wreck" is rather monotonous despite background car-crash effects, which is disappointing since he is one of wrestling's most interesting characters and should have a good song. "Ministry," Undertaker's theme, never quite lives up to the swelling crescendos of its intro. But this is after all intro music; if the first 15 seconds are good enough to get the crowd fired up, who cares if the rest of the song, like the sport it represents, is mostly comprised of smoke and mirrors? --Michelle Riggen

MY TIME-FAKED MUCH, 26 Jul 2002
Triple H`s theme "My Time" is NOT the version played in the WWE arenas and I never understood why this was. The background music if you listen carefully is different and the words are to! The WWE obviously have no problem insulting the fans intelligance.
this album is cool, 28 Feb 2001
I got wwf volume 4 ages ago when there was no marriage between hhh and steph and the undertaker was'nt an american bad ass, though i still listen to it on the odd occasion. The Rock's, HHH's and Chris Jericho's theme tunes are worth checking out. Theres also a rockin stone cold song on the album.
ONE TWO, THIS THING ON?, 20 Aug 2000
It better be, this cd is the baddest rammer jammer of em all. I have just completed my set of wwf soundtracks including aggression (also worth a look) and this rates as one of the best, what the heck, this is the best. Get your kit on, pretend your jericho, and lets break those walls down!
COOL!, 16 Apr 2000
I just had to get this cd when I started watching WWF. I loved the music, such as The Rock, Triple H, Chris Jericho. The new Austin one is pretty good. The only song I don't really like is Mark Henry's because its quite slow. Perhaps I should get 'Aggression' too.
This CD Is Amazing!, 05 Apr 2000
I have just bought this CD and I haven't listened to anything else since. From the second Jericho's theme cries "Break the Walls Down" to when The Rock finishes by singing his Smackdown Hotel song, this is great (except for the Big Slow's song and Mark Henry's "song"). In particular is the theme for Steve Austin by H-Blockx (Oh Hell Yeah), "Break Down the Walls" for Jericho, "My Time" for "The Game" HHH and Undertaker's "Ministry" theme which will be continually blasting from your speakers. You'll also love the lyrics to "AssMan" which I will let you hear for yourself, it's hilarious.
