Great track listing!, 04 Aug 2008
Well I think this NOW cd has a great track listing, maybe not quite as good as NOW 69, but very close in my opinion! I don't know why they included 'Scooter - Jumping All over the World' on here, along with a few other songs I have never heard of...but the other great tracks make it only a small negative! I think it's a shame that Madonna won't allow her tracks on here, as 4 minutes is a very popular song that would have been great on NOW 70.
Brilliant!!!!, 30 Jul 2008
Best 'Now' CD for a while. Cd 2 bettwer then Cd 1 in my opinion. Like the face that all the good songs are not just at the beginning like they usually are, but more spread out! Love it!
Now That's What I Call Music 70, 25 Jul 2008
The best now cd since now 44 and that was a long time ago anyway buy this album for Touch My Body [CD 2] In My Arms Can't Speak French [CD 2] Black & Gold Cry for You Break the Ice Scream All I Ever Wanted and Take a Bow overall i give this album a 10/10 must buy!
Good but quite a few misfires, 25 Jul 2008
The latest Now is packed with some of the biggest hits of recent months. On the plus side it contains five number ones, five number twos, three number threes plus eleven other Top 10 hits.
But perhaps due to the sluggish nature of the singles charts these days with some songs hanging around in the Top 40 for four or five months, the Now people have struggled to maintain the astoundingly high standard established by Now 68, which really restored the luster to a franchise that was beginning to tarnish. For example, disc one contains six tracks which did not even make the Top 10 and disc two a further nine. Some of these barely scraped the Top 30!
Another disappointment was that the compilers chose to include Coldplay's plodding Violet Hill, which only made number 8 in the singles chart, instead of their more recent and much better track Viva La Vida which made number one.
Please find below the track listing with the highest UK chart position given after each song:
1. Estelle feat. Kanye West American Boy 1
2. Dizzee Rascal feat. Calvin Harris & Chrome Dance Wiv Me 1
3. Mint Royale Singin' In The Rain 1
4. Sam Sparro Black & Gold 2

I normally buy these albums out of some sort of compulsion, which I realise is playing into the hands of those who make it-but this one is actually worth buying there are loadsa good songs on it from artists who I wouldn't buy an album of but like the one song.
My favourites are: American Boy, Warwick Avenue, Love Song, Can't Speak French, Denial, 10 000 Nights, That's Not My Name, Heartbeat, Cops and Robbers, Violet Hill, Take A Bow, No Air (although this is a rubbish version, he album version is much better), Heartbreaker, Touch My Body, Better In Time (this radio edit is actually a worthy addition to anyone who already owns Spirit), With You, Wearing My Rolex and Cry For You.
These are all brilliant and make the album worth buying!

I must be listening to a different album, 21 Aug 2008
Ignore the politics of Mark Doyle, Hed Kandi, Fierce Angel, honestly ignore that. The track listing on CD1, the apparently "twisted side of dance" begins with a remix of an Adele track and then a Daniel Beddingfield song. Robin S appears somewhere on one of the other mindless cds yet again with show me love for the 345th time this year.
Nuff said, for those of you with a tenner to spend save it for a kebab, this album is beyond credible and yes, I bought it
Summer scorcher!, 12 Jul 2008
Faultless compilation and the best I've heard from Hed Kandi for a while, CD2 is in my opinion outstanding with not too many obvious tunes but well programmed and full-on and funky you can't go wrong with this one "Buy it"!
This Album is the summer of 2008, 10 Jul 2008
Having just got back from another amazing trip to the amazing Isle of Ibiza, I'm writing this review while listening to this Album.... again
So many memorable tracks that bring me back to El Divino on a Saturday 'Hed Kandi's' big night in Ibiza Town Port.
Also makes me think of the Planes flying above on a late afternoon at Bora Bora, enjoying a Sangria or more with friends, new and old
The tracks that especially stand out run in sequence from Miracle by Deepest Blue, then Reach Out, Paramount, Something Real, Salvation and what has to be the anthem of 2008 Show me Love (Payami Remix).... what a tune. Too many good tracks to list and I just had to share the love with this review as it had to be said
The only problem I see now for Hed Kandi is how are they going to better this release?
tom
THE summer compilation, 07 Jul 2008
I often see and hear people go on about how 'Hed Kandi aren't the same anymore', or are 'too commercial' now.
You know what? I don't know (or care) if that's true. But what I DO know is what sounds good, and Hed Kandi's Summer Mix 2008 SOUNDS GOOD! This CD defines summer for me, it's full of summer anthems, some commercial, some not so much, but it all blends together for a near perfect mix of summer house tunes.
There's 3 different styles of house (Twisted Disco, Disco Kandi and Disco Heaven) within this collection, my personal favourite being the first CD, because I love the dirtier side of house.
If you're a fan of dance or house in general, get this CD. It's perfect music for a BBQ!

Quite good but can get boring soon, 25 May 2008
This is a good CD with some catchy songs on it, but they can get a bit boring after a while.
But it still has some catchy songs on it, so i'm giving it 5 stars.
Great music, 22 Apr 2008
The NOW albums always have the pick of the season: there is very little time when I haven't seen a really big song on there. You can practically only get these compilations for your entire music library, because they have all the must-have songs on board. Bit expensive at first glance, but lots of songs and good value for money. And I've really been wanting Rock Star for ages...
Great Album, 21 Apr 2008
I am definately a compilation album girl, I find when buying an artists complete album, you only end up enjoying a quater to a half of an album! This album is great, I am not hugely into modern music, but over the past few months the songs have been really good, so it is great to be able to buy an album that has all your favourites on!
Well worth buying!
Why can't they release this stuff in the U.S?, 24 Mar 2008
I didn't think Now 68 could be surpassed, but it has with this release. Just about every track is great. Why can't most of this great stuff (Duffy, Robyn, etc.) be released in the U.S.? Is our taste that bad?
Pretty good:), 24 Mar 2008
As usual cd 2 is given the entrie indie allowance, and cd one is given all of the dance tracks and hip hop. Though I have pretty much dowloaded all of the better songs on the album, it is a good mix this time.

Very restful and soothing - according to the missus - and good value, too!, 11 Jun 2008
My wife (for whom I bought it) says that this CD set is very restful and soothing and I have to say that I quite like to hear the singing in the background whilst I slave away at the computer. And, of course, the great thing is that we got two CDs for about the price of one. Excellent!
Fine singing from Downside monks and choir, 25 Jan 2008
This is a lovely album of Gregorian classics, beautifully sung. And, of course, if you like the music: why not spend time at the monastery itself, which is near Bath? Why bathe in the thermal springs when one can bathe in the Divine Liturgy?

Well I think this NOW cd has a great track listing, maybe not quite as good as NOW 69, but very close in my opinion! I don't know why they included 'Scooter - Jumping All over the World' on here, along with a few other songs I have never heard of...but the other great tracks make it only a small negative!

The best one for ages, 23 Jul 2008

THE summer compilation, 07 Jul 2008
I often see and hear people go on about how 'Hed Kandi aren't the same anymore', or are 'too commercial' now.
You know what? I don't know (or care) if that's true. But what I DO know is what sounds good, and Hed Kandi's Summer Mix 2008 SOUNDS GOOD! Mixing goes from quite good to terrible..., 21 May 2008
I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.
When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?
Adequate for someone who likes chart dance music, 26 Mar 2008
It bemuses me why negative comments towards most dance compilations always say 'same stuff repackaged' - dont buy it then!! The song lists are provided beforehand to give you an idea of what songs and genres are included. This compilation, though not the best for someone who prefers less commercial music is good to put on in the background or in the car. It serves its purpose well.
Pretty good, 20 Mar 2008
Very good for exercise classes/ aerobics!
This is what to buy it for; definatly not easy listening!

The best... ever?, 19 Jun 2007
This isn't bad but myself and Doreen would beg to differ. After hours of listening pleasure, we have come to the conclusion that the Luciano Pavarotti's Disney Album is the best in the world... ever.
The best Disney album on offer in my books, 27 Jan 2007
The Best Disney Album in the World...Ever is the best Disney's album on offer in retail outlets. I do not think any alternative Disney's album can surpass this complilation. The album comprises three discs. All the memorable musical tracks are included in the album that you can listen to time and time again, for your own pleasure and to relight the magical moments of Disney at you home. The list seems to be endless, which includes big name classics such as Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Bambi, Beauty and Beast and so on . Modern Disney muscial tracks are also featured such as High School musical. The Disney empire still continues to flourish as the album proves. The album is a real flavour of Disney films. The Disney movies by its nature are characterized by its musical orientation. In my mind, I cannot think of any movie excluding a music track. It is simply not the values and quality of Disney if you know what I am getting at.
If you are an avid fan and like to relieve the magic of Disney, I truly recommmend that you purchase this album. After listening to this album, I am fully convinced the album is the best on offer for Disney.

The best one for ages, 23 Jul 2008

This is what to buy it for; definatly not easy listening!
mos anthems, 04 Mar 2008
the first cd i didnt know any of the songs. the third is rubbish, the second is the only one i rate with good dance classics which give you the friday feeling. all in all, expensive for one good cd!
Naff, 19 Feb 2008
I have to aggree with most of the others, Most of the songs are good all round classics but its jst not any different to the albums they have released in the past.
Its not worth the money as if you look hard enough in your CD collection you probably have them all already
Great Fun, 10 Aug 2008
This is a great CD for kids. I've bought a few as presents and am told they get played again and again. My kids love it.
The best... ever?, 19 Jun 2007
Mumbai Theme Tune - A.R. Rahman - will relaxx you - Heal you, 17 Mar 2008
i havent listened full album yet. just listened the first song. Simple . Just buy this or download this album. 5/5.
It is sad these guys do not make music often. They should make music everyday. At least one album per year.

A real beauty, 10 Sep 2006
After a hot summers day, theres nothing I like more than to just relax and let the tunes from Cafe del Mar vol.5 send me in dreams. It retains the true quality of a typical 90's album, that has absolutely no commercialism in it. in this respect, it stands out from alot of other albums you'll own.
The songs are incredibly soothing, and arranged perfectly, with Close cover being a perfect way to end the album.
A must for late summer nights!
Vol.5, 24 Feb 2005
Vol.5 is close to vol.3 but not as good but still amazing. Its depeends on what you like really. This cd is more funky but alot less jazz based it a good pierce of work.Cafe delmar is sheer quality check vol.2,vol.3 and vol.6,vol.7 lastly all Jose padilla work all up to this stardard. Impessive stuff!
Absolutely amazing CD, 13 Aug 2004
I've had this CD for 2+ year and never ever get tired of it. It had a good mix of song styles so you never get bored, and some truly amazing songs that you'll love forever. I'd definately recommend buying it - without a doubt.
Unsurpassed beautiful collection of chillout classics!, 08 Feb 2002
I confess to having the entire Cafe Del Mar series. I cannot live without Volume 5 which will sooth you whether you're falling in/out of love. No matter how cold it is outside Cafe Del Mr 5 will always warm you. Buy this CD now - when you face the sun all your shadows are behind you - enjoy.

Calvin Harris & Chrome Dance Wiv Me 1
3. Mint Royale Singin' In The Rain 1

same old same old, 20 Aug 2008
OK. A host of classics re spun and rearranged into 3 CD's. Nothing really new here but ok to play at home pre party. I'm sure it will sell well but just another commercial album. The new club scene will probably go for this one but not cutting edge enough for me.
Something Slightly Different, 09 Aug 2008
I always find compilations hit and miss because usually for every great song that's on there there's some equally bad or boring ones mixed in. What I find great about this album is that this doesn't (for once) seem to be the case. Great songs delivered one after another in consistent succession, CD3 in particular is brilliant for driving to if you're that sort of person. The mixing is also quite impressive, this is the first Dave Pearce album I've bought but has led me to be more interested in his others.
Greatest Trance Compilation Ever, 26 Jul 2008
