Great Album, 03 Jan 2008
Bargin as others have said, 40tracks for under a tenner. I had originally only heard 2 of these live 30STM and the Pigeon Detectives and i loved both. I only really bought the album for the 30STM (who i LUV) cover of stronger there is only one word for it AMAZING, its so different to the original but i actually prefer their version. Im not to big on a couple of the tracks but there is such a variation that you'll probably find a couple you wont like but you'll find plenty you do. I was really impressed with Biffy Clyro's version of umbrella to. Its just a different cool cd where else you gona get a cover of keane and dirrtylicious lol

Product Description
Slick and earthy at the same time, Live from Wembley Arena picks up where Live in Europe left off. In this case, Pink, looking like Wendy O. Williams in black eyeliner and blond crop, is captured in one London show, circa December 2006, rather than in highlights from several. Since the first live DVD, she released her fourth album. There is, naturally, some overlap between the two videos--notably, "Trouble" and "God Is a DJ"--but the singer adds several songs from I'm Not Dead, like the title track, "U + Ur Hand," and "Stupid Girls." This time, however, there are no covers, except for a nod to "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" during "Get the Party Started." Along with her talented troupe of backing dancers, she busts plenty of moves herself, particularly on the flamenco-flavored "There You Go." Then, on "Fingers," she ups the ante with death-defying Cirque Du Soleil-style acrobatics while suspended above the stage. There's also a lot of strong singing, although she must surely be lip-syncing during "Fingers" (it's hard to carry a tune while doing somersaults in the air), and her voice does start to abandon her during "What's Up." Fortunately, the audience helps out by joining in on the chorus. Pink confirms her versatility by performing "The One That Got Away" and "Dear Mr. President" in acoustic mode. And the number of costume changes--around a dozen--would surely turn Cher green with envy.--Kathleen C. Fennessy

This DVD shows just what a live concert should be! Pink isn't just a singer/dancer, she is a true entertainer. This DVD left me stunned, and the fact that she got involved with the silk/net work whilst still singing goes to show how much effort she puts into her stage show.
Worth every penny, and it's made me even more upset that I missed out on tickets to see her at Wembley!

After watching this show, not only you loose yourself in celine`s great voice and performance, but you also realise that this BD DVD is wrapped up in an unforgettable presentation of high quality imagery and sound, which really does make the show come alive in your own living room. I recommend this Blu-ray disc to all Celine Dion fans, but also to those who haven`t had the chance of getting to know her work on a closer level.

The worst DVD ever, 19 Jul 2008

Whatever you do, don't buy this.
If you're willing to spend some hard earned cash on a product worthwhile, then purchase Dennis Wilson's 'Pacific Ocean Blue'.
CELINE DION - WHY is she so famous? , 10 Jul 2008
...........CELINE DION - why is she so famous?
Celine has beocme one of the divas on the 20th century, with her song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", and her Titanic hit, "My Heart Will Go On", that even shed our macho image.
Celine Dions Sexiness
Celine Dion doesn't exactly inspire male fantasies in the same way fellow Canadian Pamela Anderson does, but she has her own unique look that some men (besides Richard Simmons) like.
Celine Dion's SUCCESS:
With all the Grammy Awards, audiences with heads of states, millions of albums sold, number one singles, and countless fans, Celine has proven her worth and her place in pop music history
NEWS & GOSSIP:
Celine Dion's shoe obsession - she owns around 3,000 pairs of shoes, and admits shopping is one of her favourite hobbies.
CELINE's biography:
Biography
Celine Dion started in a rural French Canadian hometown called Charlemagne in the province of Quebec. She is the youngest of 14 children in a highly musical family. The family owned a small local club, and on weekends, all the family entertained the local population. Celine was only five years old when she started performing in front of an audience. By the age of twelve, the bright young talent composed a French song with her brother and mother, which forever changed the course of her life.
That's when Rene Angelil (her current Husband) and respected talent agent, heard the song and saw a bright future for the young singer. In January of 1981, Rene was really taken by Celine's voice and decided to mortgage his house to finance her debut album.
The steak of recognition started in 1982 when she won the Gold Medal at the Yamaha World Song Festival in Tokyo as well as the coveted Musician's Award for Top Performer. In 1983, Celine became the first Canadian to receive a Gold Record in France.
Celine was hitting it big in her native province of Quebec, where she received numerous Felix Awards and racking up many platinum albums. During the year of 1988, she also won the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin Ireland, where she performed live in front of a 600 million television audience throughout Europe.
Celine was known everywhere throughout the world and when she recorded the title track for the soundtrack to the animated Disney hit movie Beauty and the Beast, she had reached the huge American market. The song quickly climbed up the charts to number one and garnered both an Academy Award and a Grammy Award. Her second English language album, called Celine Dion produced four more hit singles and the album went six times platinum in Canada, which set the way for an incredible streak of Juno Awards- the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards.
In the mean time Celine became extremely popular in the UK with the song Think Twice, which remained number one on the charts of the British charts for five consecutive weeks. This was a great achievement as The Beatles had set the benchmark in 1965. Celine became the fourth female artist ever to sell a million singles in the UK. She even introduced French music to the upper British charts, the song D'eux caught the world by storm and allowed the world to find out about her.
With one of music's greatest voices, Celine has crossed practically every barrier and has conquered the world with a series of electrifying international hits. She dedicated all her time and efforts touring, appearing on TV shows, receiving awards and attending special events. However, Celine still has time to support the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memorial of her niece, Karine, who was passed away from the disease.
The success story doesn't stop here. In 1996, Falling Into You became the best selling album of the year, it topped the charts in 11 countries and was voted Album of the Year and Best Pop Album in the 39th annual Grammy Awards. As of today, the album recorded sales of more than 25 million copies worldwide. Her follow-up album was Let's Talk About Love, it featured popular music from other great vocalists, songwriters, and producers. It was also released on the soundtrack of the motion picture Titanic, which was an unprecedented success. The most popular song was My Hearth Will Go On, written by James Horner and produced by James Warner and Walter Afanasieff. The Titanic soundtrack sold over 27 million copies worldwide and became the best-selling orchestral soundtrack in recording history. The song also pocketed an Oscar for Best Original Song; the second Oscar for a song performed by Celine.
Celine recorded many albums ranging from These Are Special Times featuring sixteen holiday songs, to a greatest hit album including her chart-topping hit single The Power of Love, and a collection of seven new songs. These songs struck gold once again and Celine has been called the premier contemporary pop vocalist of the nineties and earned her the status of international superstar. She recently re-married her longtime agent in a fancy Las Vegas Hotel and decided to take a year off to spend some time with Rene and start a family.

Brilliant! Brought back memories of seeing them live......, 12 Oct 2008
I was lucky enough to see The Highwaymen live in when they came to the UK, probably not long after this show was recorded and the show I saw was very similar to the one they did on the DVD. I have always been a huge fan of Willie Nelson and also like the others, but when you see them together you cannot believe you have 4 huge country stars on the same stage, singing together!. The DVD brought back many memories of one of the best live shows I have seen - and I have been to loads. The rapport between the guys is obvious, and regardless of what Willie says about 'all of us having ego's the size of a bus' what cmes over is a fantasic group of country singers doing what they do best. If you like any one of them but havent yet discovered the Highwaymen, you are in for a trest! I am so glad I bought it. I also have most of the CDs and play them all the time in the car, singing along! Real music - the best!
The Very Best Of The Highwaymen, 10 Mar 2007
This DVD Music-Live. Is Absolute The Best I`ve Ever Seen. What A Great Feeling The Give Us Country Fans. If You`re Thinking Of To Buy Somthing Special. THIS IS IT......
'Live' Recordings Don't Get Any Better Than This, Period!, 22 Oct 2006
Kris, Johnny, Waylon and Willie hit the ball right out of the park with this awesome DVD! Apart from the wonderful selection of material here the banter and interviews with these 4 super stars is a great.
I honestly can't rate this fabulous DVD highly enough and after owning and nearly wearing out my VHS version, this format is a dream come true!
Johnny mentions that after this tour they were of to Romania to do some more concerts there! How they missed doing any here in the U.K I'll never know.
Simply The Best, 23 Sep 2006
This concert in front of a massive live audience by The Highwaymen is simply a must for all fans of good, quality, music, not only Country music fans. My husband and I have owned the VHS video of this concert for years now and have watched it dozens of times without ever tiring of it, and we never will. The songs, singers and backing musicians are SIMPLY THE BEST you will get. Put it on and I guarantee you will not be able to turn it off until the very last song and it just gets better and better. The sad part is, this will never be repeated, because only Willie and Kris are still alive, and my biggest disappointment is that I was never able to see them perform this concert live. It must have been the most wonderful experience. I have just ordered the DVD format of it and can't wait for it to arrive. Buy it now. Nobody should miss such a wonderful performance by four of the very best musical talents.
Pure class, 28 Aug 2006
This is a genuine example of musical excellence from four of the all time great practitioners of country music.
The four men share a stage, swap songs and stories and thrill the huge live audience with almost an hour and three quarters of performance.
Buy it, lock the doors and unplug the phone and sit back to enjoy.
While Nelson and Kristofferson still tour Jennings and Cash are now sadly deceased so you will literally never see anything like this again.

Product Description
Since exploding out of Sydney, Australia in 1973, AC/DC have been at the very forefront of heavy metal. Built around the central core of Glaswegian-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, whose brutal dual guitar assaults almost immediately set the rock world aflame, the band's awesome live battery has since passed into legend. AC/DC's stock in trade, a simplistic and uncluttered blend of fundamental rock & roll riffs and deliciously amoral licentiousness, has gradually come to exemplify the metal ideal, and the blistering stage performances captured herein show exactly why. The precision holocaust of "Highway to Hell", blazing ferocity of "Let There Be Rock" and immense triumphalism of "For Those About To Rock" are visceral sonic power incarnate. As Angus slashes forth elemental chords and struts the stage in his trademark school uniform, Brian Johnson roars himself ragged and bellows the crowd into abject submission.

Best music DVD I have ever owned, the whole experience is magic. Buy this you will not be disappointed.

Dead not Live, 08 Sep 2008
This is a bloody disappointing album. I bought this thinking it was going to capture the full on raw power of AC/DC but it totally fails.
The biggest problem is that unlike the majority of live albums that are edited to flow like a proper gig, this mess sees each track fade in and out so that the energy and excitement one expects never materialises. It simply fails to gel at all and just becomes totally boring. Why was this done? It is for radio idiot DJ's who are incapable of cueing up a track? Oh yes, and Brian Johnson can't sing either. A truly horrible experience. Stick to "If You Want Blood...".
Not A Patch On "If You Want Blood.....", 05 Apr 2007
I'm afraid that, having bought this recently in reliance on the reviews on this site, ripped it to my MP3 Player, and listened to it over several tube journeys, I am disappointed. The whole thing lacks the bite, attack and energy of the earlier "If you Want Blood....." It's all too polite, too well mannered, and too well produced, - almost bland. I'm going to give it an airing on the stereo over the weekend, but unless the wider sound afforded here adds something truly extra, this one may well be taking a trip over the the Record Exchange in Camden to be traded in. Is this just the difference between the Bonn Scott era band and the later version, or a touch of over production?
Buyer beware, 27 Mar 2007
This album was a major disappointment for me, a longtime AC/DC fan. It falls way short of the classic 'If you want blood...' album. Brian Johnson's singing (screeching?) becomes more irritating with each song. The sound has that horrible sanitised and distant feel to it. Worse of all however is the wretched 'For those About To Rock....' dirge which is not a song but a tuneless chant that sounds like it was made up on the terraces of a football club. If you want live AC/DC stick to 'If you want Blood.....', a flawless classic by a band at its musical peak.....
WE SALUTE YOU, 14 Feb 2007
AC/DC have been playing hard and ruthless for over 30 years now, and to date, they still haven't released a Best Of compilation. However, so great is their reputation for slaying live audiences that, even when that compilation finally does arrive, this double live album may remain the best first purchase for new fans.
'Live - Collectors Edition' combines recordings from several AC/DC shows in 1991, but primarily concentrates on their appearance at that year's 'Monsters of Rock' festival, which ruled the UK from 1980-1996 as the biggest, baddest event on the rock 'n' roll calendar. In '91, Castle Donington shook to the sounds of Metallica and Motley Crue, and at the top of the bill, ready to blast 72,500 fans to kingdom come, were AC/DC. 'The Razor's Edge', the album which preceded this tour, featured their best work since 'Back In Black' 10 years earlier, and gave them several great new additions to an already devastating arsenal including 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Let There Be Rock' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long'. To these, Angus Young adds a couple of extravagantly extended face-melting guitar solos, and the brief but touching tribute to Bon Scott entitled 'Bonny' (a guitar lick based on the traditional Scottish ballad 'The Bonnie Banks O' Loch Lomond'). The audio quality throughout the record is superb - vocals and instruments are crisp and clear, and the audiences remain loud and proud in the mix.
If you're especially lucky, you may find a custom-made Angus Young banknote tucked away inside the sleeve of 'Live - Collectors Edition' (I still have mine!). With or without this little bonus, though, if you want some high voltage rock 'n' roll, this is where you come and get it.
an amazing live album, 14 Apr 2006
when I listened to this recently I was blown away, because of AC/DC's stage presence you feel as if you are there at the concert, I would usually suggest to people that when starting listening to a band not to start with a live album but this is an exception, it contains soem of AC/DC's most popular and best songs, an absolute must

With or without this little bonus, though, if you want some high voltage rock 'n' roll, this is where you come and get it.
an amazing live album, 14 Apr 2006
when I listened to this recently I was blown away, because of AC/DC's stage presence you feel as if you are there at the concert, I would usually suggest to people that when starting listening to a band not to start with a live album but this is an exception, it contains soem of AC/DC's most popular and best songs, an absolute must Heartrendingly beautiful, 24 Oct 2003
I've been a Cohen fan as far back as I can remember. I had a feeling I wouldn't be disappointed by this album, since Cohen's live backup singers are legendary, and I was right. These are without a doubt the most beautiful and emotional versions of the songs ever recorded, and I find it impossible to listen to the album as mere background music; as soon as the music starts playing, I can't help but close my eyes and just let the music envelop me completely. The songs "Bird on a Wire" and "Sisters of Mercy" are worthy of special mention. The tempo is lower, the saxophone sexier and the vocals deeper and more intense than ever before, and the result defies description. I would have gladly paid in blood to be at the show where they were recorded. I heartily recommend this album to all, it is beyond fantastic.
The best live album ever?, 06 Nov 2001
I'm not usually a fan of live albums. They often contain little more than badly recorded, inferior versions of tracks you probably already own. So this live collection comes as a welcome exception to the rule. Simply put, this album is stunning. It contains many of Leonard Cohen's best loved songs, all played to perfection by world-class musicians and recorded with pin-drop clarity. The songs were recorded on various tours during the 80s and early 90s but the album hangs together as if they were all recorded on the same night. Particularly effective are the understated but arresting guitars, and the backing vocals providing a silky counterpoint to Cohen's world-weary tones. This was the album that introduced me to Leonard Cohen and I have to say, I haven't found a better version of any of these songs anywhere. This is, for me, the best live album ever made, and one of my all time top five albums, period.

Unforgettable Voice, 21 Nov 2008
After watching this show, not only you loose yourself in celine`s great voice and performance, but you also realise that this BD DVD is wrapped up in an unforgettable presentation of high quality imagery and sound, which really does make the show come alive in your own living room. ...........CELINE DION - why is she so famous?
Sheer class!, 27 May 2008
Best music DVD I have ever owned, the whole experience is magic. Buy this you will not be disappointed.

Can it ever get any better?, 15 Oct 2008
I am no stranger to reviewing material by John Mayer and I know that sometimes I can come over as evangelical in my praise, but how else can you describe such an immense talent?
The SRV analogies are bound to resonate through other reviews, and I'm sure the talented Mr M would not baulk at the comparison. However, when a 'white man plays the blues', these analogies are all too easy to use and this takes away from the originality of John Mayer's skills as a songwriter. 'Stop This Train' is the most powerful song with the most simple delivery that I have heard, and is a song which, in its live format, I often find I'm too sensitive to listen to. I am fortunate to have seen him live on two occasions, but have only seen him perform this song on the first. I almost didn't want him to do it - it feels too personal to share with thousands of others (like having your mind read by perfect strangers) and his delivery on this album moves me to tears. Quite how he can get through it, baring his soul, I do not know. But I'm very grateful that he does.
This is essentially three live sets for the price of one. His accoustic set is sheer virtuosity, the Trio is, well, The Trio and the band set gives you all that you expect when you think John Mayer. He seems to have no specific genre - how can you compare a song like 'Neon' to 'Slow Dancing In a Burning Room' and then throw in interpretations of the likes of 'I Don't Need No Doctor'? His appeal is so broad as to attract fawning girl fans and middle-aged male guitar afficianados alike (I fall somewhere in between!). I had considered Continuum to be his magnum opus, and couldn't imagine that he could make a better-sounding cd. Happily, I was wrong, and he continues to push my buttons (all of them). Long may it continue.
Excellent, 18 Jul 2008
This is a truly excellent album. THe acoustic sets are superb and show John Mayer off as the brilliant guitarist that he is. The trio sets and in deed some of the full band songs sound very much like Jimmie Vaughan. It is excellent, the songs are his best, from all previous album, but live. The small twiddly bits between/ leading into songs are very good and original. I would definitely recommend this any day to anyone who like rock, blues or jazz.(I mostly listen to metal by Mayer is the Jazz man that I like, he is a shinning example for all those in his genre) *****. Buy it.
Hyde Park miss, 11 Jul 2008
The rest of my family had a day out in central London and ended up in Hyde Park where the Clapton concert was on with John Mayer playing at the time they were there. Apparently my 8 year old said 'that sounds like daddy playing guitar.' Which proves that even John mayer can have a bad day...
The acoustic songs aren't amazing and the trio stuff, whilst incredibly well played, sounds more like an SRV tribute than an artist with his own voice. Still, all of disk 2 gives you John with his full band and a great live set it is too and its had me thinking about buying the dvd.
The John Mayer back catalogue is quite varied and not all in the vein of the modern blues/rock you get here. Be interesting to see what he does next.
Not just for the blues buff, 07 Jul 2008
This is the first I have heard of John Mayer and I am very impressed indeed. An advantage of such live albums is that you get a sense of immediacy which, with a singer/songwriter working mainly at the blues end of the spectrum, can often be lost in the confines of a studio. In this case Mayer clearly connects well with his audience and by splitting his perfomance into three distinct styles he shows off a wide repertoire of skills.
The first section is solo acoustic, very much in the style of a typical singer songwriter, with songs on the folk/blues borderline typified by a version of Tom Petty's Freefalling which is really rather good. Mayer's husky voice and exemplary guitar playing remind me a bit of Kelly Joe Phelps without the slide guitar.
The second section of disc one is performed as a trio, and allows Mayer to rock out a bit, very much in the style of Hendrix (there are a couple of covers) this is still rooted in the blues with a hint of jazz thrown in.
The whole of the second disc is performed by the John Mayer band and is not the rock wig out I was expecting. Covering a variety of styles and songs my immediate thought was that it was most like John Hiatt overall, with a hint of brass here and there, a mellow fuzzy guitar style and a fair bit of funk and gentle soul. For me the standout track of this disc and indeed the album is Slow dancing in a burning room, which is a Thin Lizzyesque ballad which is ended by a couple of minutes of twin guitar soaring and tumbling, very much in the manner of Gorham and Robertson.
Overall a fine introduction to this artist which has encouraged me to seek out the back catalogue.
