Product Description
Once you've won the lottery you don't go throwing the same parties you used to when you were on a two-cans-of-cider student budget--you lay on a spread, you let people know what you're packing these days. It's a sentiment that runs right through Folie À Deux, Fall Out Boy's fifth and most audacious studio album. Having already expanded their sonic palette way beyond emo with 2007's mega-selling Infinity On High (and to a much more successful extent than peers Panic At The Disco with their mainstream-chasing Pretty. Odd.) they really go for broke here, not only racking up track after track of glitteringly anthemic sing-along action--while also somehow managing not to betray the muscle that made them famous in the first place--but also visibly parading a line of notable guests in case you were any doubt as to their status as rock A-listers. Elvis Costello, Travis McCoy and members of The Academy Is... and Panic At The Disco crop up in cameos on Aerosmith-esque ballad "What A Catch, Donnie", all singing lines from previous Fall Out Boy tracks. We told you it was audacious. Lil' Wayne stamps some style on the Michael Jackson pop verse of "Tiffany Blews" and Debbie Harry duets the album to a close on "West Coast Smoker". Elsewhere, out of the VIP room, "America's Suiteharts" still gets noticed by walking over ELO's "Mr Blue Sky" in Foo Fighters' boots and "I Don't Care" throbs like the tattooed cousin of "Spirit In The Sky". --James Berry

The Band Who Would Be King....., 19 Dec 2008
Gets better and better with each listen. Beautiful harmonies. And some great guest vocals. I think Stumpy's voice has got even better with the last two albums. I still think I prefer Infinity on High, but that could change.
I wasn pleased to hear that Pete was becoming less introspective with the lyrics on this one- still not afraid to tackle the darker issues.
Anyone else want a top hat and cane for track 12? Ahh...just me...
Fall Out Boy - Folie A Deux - A fall out into the best of the best, 15 Dec 2008
Having reached a play count on my personal Itunes of 20 full plays of this album, i truly believe this album is a piece of magic.
By far the songs on this vary from pop, to jazz to even a bit of screamo on the last song, this album creates a general happiness in the air.
Standout songs are tack numbers 1,2,5,6, 11 and 13
Another great album from Fall Out Boy, 10 Dec 2008
I have listened to the entire album a few times over, (don't ask how I obtained it) and it is another great album from FOB.
They have gone in a slightly new direction with this record, with many musical influences aparent. From the 80's synth stabs of "Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet" to the jaunty duet with Panic At The Disco's lead: Brendan Urie in "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" the album is full of interesting and lovable songs. My personal favorite being "Tiffany Blews".
However the album does have it's down sides. While great, it is not as good as their classic albums "Take This to Your Grave" or "From Under the Cork Tree". It just doesn't feel like an album should - the songs are all so different that there just doesn't seem to be general thread holding them together. While there are some excellent tracks, there are also a couple which I would consider skipping past in the future.
All in all, a brilliant album in it's own right, but just doesn't stand up against some of Fall Out Boy's earlier work. A must for any FOB fan and open-minded music lovers alike - but be sure to give it a few chances as many of the songs are growers and will need more than one listen to really be appreciated.
THIS IS AWESOME!, 16 Nov 2008
This an amzing album. Although it is not released you can hear most of the songs on youtube. I DONT CARE IS AMAZING and so is HEADFIRSTSLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN.
Fall Out Boy Baby., 07 Nov 2008
Well i know this album is yet to be released.
But we already know it's going to be great They have never let us down before. They are a punk band mainly but have got some pop beats to thier singles. All their songs adopt a different style, yet are still amazing.
I DONT CARE is the only song that has beeen released from Foile A Deux ( thier new album ) so far, and it is awesum. If you have not heard it i suggest you download it now. The video with it is also amazing, so watch it! I DONT CARE has prehaps the catchiest chourus EVER. It's great throughout, as im sure every song on the album will be! Sadly the release date has been moved on further, as they are working very hard on it to make it the best album ever. They also done this becuase they didn't want to release it to near to the American Election- as they didn't want to be seem as trying to get fame of it!

Paramore? Paraless more like it !, 17 Dec 2008
Yet another one of those two chord wonders bands where virtually every track sounds the same, have any of these newish bands got any talent because after listening to this I am beginning to think not. The one redeeming factor is Hayley Williams, she is not a bad vocalist and is it my imagination but does she sound like Amy Lee (Evanescence) on some tracks?I have never been able to understand the attraction of the Foo Fighters and like them this band are all chords and riff's, no guitar playing of any substance and it's just dull and boring. I am not a grumpy old man and although I am getting on a bit I do know my music having played in a band for a while but the younger buying public are being coerced into buying stuff like this which is being passed off as the the music to listen to for the angst ridden teenager but the playing is rubbish, the songs repetitive and overall the music is just bland. Some people will think that I am out of touch with the new generation of bands but I don't think so as I listen to a lot of new music, this CD may appeal to a less critical audience but it's not for me.
A Riot! of greatness, 06 Dec 2008
Woah Paramore have improved! and i didn't think that was possible. In my opinion this is one of the best albums ever. I've got loads of people into paramore with this album.
1. For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic - Smart title and the song is just pure greatness. A great opener for this album. Catchy lyrics and sound. - 10/10
2. Thats What You Get - I was hoping this one would be a single. One of the best on the album, very impressive. You will find yourself singing to this one in no time - 10/10
3. Hallelujah - Powerful lyrics make a powerful song and this is one of them great emotional anthems. - 9/10
4. Misery Business - Best choice for one of the singles. Its probably their most popular song but you can see why. Very catchy verses with an awesome guitar-lead chorus. - 10/10
5. When It Rains - Again, this is one of my favs. Absolutly beautiful song. Emotional and touching lyrics. The one that was put on repeat the most. - 10/10
6. Let The Flames Begin - This is also one of my favs. Didn't really like it that much at first but now i can't get enough. Amazing music and powerful lyrics. - 10/10
7. Miracle - Fun song to listen to. Catchy beat and up-tempo - 8/10
8. Crushcrushcrush - Great guitar from Josh here. Stand-out track - 10/10
9. We Are Broken - I can't seem to get my self into this one. Some days i love it but some days i don't. Love the begining though. Touching ballad. - 7/10
10. Fences - Definatly another stand-out track. Clever, catchy song. Absolute greatness at work here. - 10/10
11. Born For This - Another Fav. Great to sing with and the song that got most of my friends into paramore. One for everyone. - 10/10
heres my reviews for the bonus tracks if you got them:
12. Decoy - Really really amazing. Awesome guitar and vocals. Very relatible. - 10/10
13. Stop This Song (Lovesick Melody) - So catchy especially the bridge. Bit repetitive at the end though. - 10/10
14. Temporary - The worst bonus track and its still good. Again, relatable lyrics. - 8/10
15. Rewind - Great catchy verses. This is one that has been replayed over and over. - 10/10
Whoaaa..., 22 Nov 2008
I first heard about Paramore eariler on this year, my friend told me to listen to Until Tomorrow and I fell in love with the band. Hayley is an awesome singer and Riot! is now one of my favourite albums. CrushCrushCrush and That's What You Get have to be two of the best songs on the album and I think everyone should get it lol....god I ramble....
Rocking stuff, 05 Oct 2008
So many US bands deliver not-too-bad yet easily forgettable emo-albums these days. So I didn't expect all that much from Paramore after buying this on the strength of their excellent 'Misery business'. How wrong I was.
Opener 'For a Pessimist' sets the tone for the entire album: a blistering rocker with a catchy chorus. And the pace never lets off from there. Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get are two more standouts, but the band sounds very accomplished in mid-tempo songs like When it Rains and We Are Broken as well. Singer Hayley Williams is first class - the way she holds her longer notes could teach many of her collegues a thing or two (are you payin' attention, Mariah Carey??).
All of Riot!'s eleven excellent tracks were composed by the band, which is even more impressive considering their youthfulness. The guitars sound great, the drums are creative, the production is flawless and the lead singer looks like an angel. What more could we possibly ask for?
Polished sophomore effort from Tennessee pop punks., 14 Aug 2008
A good, catchy pop rock album... but the overall the album is a lot less genuine, it's very clear how deliberately polished each track is and how much effort went into the commercial appeal of the sound and image.
I have to say that I prefer All We Know Is Falling purely for the rawness of the bands sound. The lyrics of Riot! are perhaps more complex, but the simplicity in All We Know Is Falling's lyrics boast much more spirit and emotion than this sophomore effort.
It is also pretty difficult to pick any tracks that stand out as much to me, while it's easy to claim Riot! is a stronger album in all the technical aspects, none of the tracks capture my heart the way Pressure, Emergency and pretty much every other All We Know Is Falling track did. It seems that as Hayley's hair became more processed, so did the music!
However, if you're a pop or a rock fan then I'm sure you will enjoy this album and will be able to look past all the stuff that prevents me from doing so as much.

I have both of Paramores albums, and have to say that this one is my favourite. Its a brilliant album from start to finish, anyone who likes rock/punk kind of music will really enjoy this. Tracks that stand out are "All we know", "Emergency", and a more quiet song "Franklin". Seriously if you havent heard Paramore, then you have to give this a try, you won't be dissappointed!!
Superb emo, 10 Apr 2008
Every track is awesome, this girl can sing. Think Avril Lavigne - the pop and lyrics. This album is the better of the two but the other one really is worth getting too!
The Devil's Own ( "Hell Yeah !" #2 ), 05 Apr 2008
The Wolf takes a backward step today, having only recently absorbed the
singular delights of Paramore's more recent release 'Riot', to consider their
debut album 'All We Know Is Falling'.
What a splendid first outing we have here. From the opening crash and burn
of 'All We Know' to the firey closure of 'My Heart' - 10 songs containing
enough energy to keep a small Arkansas town well lit for a week or more.
My attention having turned to the album's credit page I became somewhat absorbed
by all four band members' thanks and acknowlegements to Jesus Christ.
From his aetheist / existential-humanist perspective The Wolf would like
to believe that this talented terrestrial foursome have achieved a modicum of greatness
through their own significant merits.
Rock and Roll is (as we have all known for fifty years and more) the Devil's
own music. Mr Presley (who may not yet have left the building) and more recently
Mr Cave have long borne witness to this troublesome dilemma.
Listen carefully to the closing bars of the final track and there behind the
splendid Ms Williams' left shoulder you will hear confirmation of The Dark One's
continuing maleficent influence over young and impressionable souls everywhere.
Perhaps he too should receive some small acknowlegement of his own.
Worth it!, 09 Feb 2008
Great album.
I would recomend this album for anyone who likes catchy tunes and a great voice from hayley williams. Takes more time to get into than RIOT! does but still worth the money.
all we know is that this album is fantastic!, 28 Jan 2008
first off all, i bought Riot! as an impulse buy with some money I got for christmas. The first time I listened to the album, i automatically fell in love with it, and Hayley's voice, which is powerful and beautiful!. I then bought All We Know Is Falling - and i actually thought that this album's better than Riot!. With songs like My Heart, Brighter and Whoa, it's an album you'll never want to stop listening to, and once you listen to it, you'll be hooked. If you've liked Riot! I suggest you buy 'All We Know Is Falling.' You won't be dissapointed!

All we know is.....this is amazing........, 29 Oct 2008
Massively catchy, superb album, 28 Oct 2008
I bought this album for 2 reasons. 1) because I'd heard a lot of talk about Fall Out Boy and heard none of their music, and I wanted to see what the fuss was about and 2) the main reason, the CD was only £2.99 at the time. So I bought it, kind of expecting to be half interested. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a catchy, original and totally fun album. To be honest, I took one look at the song titles and thought, what the heck? Right now I'm not even sure how half of them relate to the tunes in question - all I know is that I love this album, and I can't stop listening to it.
Stand out tracks are definitely, in order of stand-out-ness, Sugar, We're Goin' Down, A Little Less Sixteen Candles, Champagne for my Real Friends, 7 Minutes in Heaven, and Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner. The other tracks were excellent as well but I wasn't a massive fan of 1, 10 or 13. Good but not as good. Fall Out Boy have a strong energy that is evident throughout the album and I reckon they'd be great to see live.
Seriously think this album is great. I read another review on here saying it was junk - he hadn't even opened the case, just labelled it without even listening to it. What a shame and how closed minded! Talk about judging a book by it's cover. He's doesn't know what he's missing. I however do, and I'm off to discovered the band's other four albums! I can't really imagine anybody being disappointed with this purchase. A lot of fun with snappy lyrics and real character. A winner!
Fobtastic, 26 Dec 2007
I was slightly apprehensive about the CD that had just been bought. Having read some of the song titles I thought this might be just a mish-mash of, well, "rubbish" rock.
However, after hearing the first track, I found that I was enjoying it. The drums provided a nice beat and the guitar parts were great. The lyrics were sometims challenging to hear, but with a lyrics book it was fine. The hard-hitting opening guitar was refreshing and they had some great material.
Lines like: "I've got an arrogance down to a science", "The best part of believe is the 'lie'" and lots of others, really stuck in my mind and the songs delivered lots of stimulation and greatt listening for me.
The real knock-out songs for me were: "Dance, Dance", "Sugar We're Going Down", "Sophmore Slump or Comeback of the Year" and "Xo". You might thiink that their lyrics don't make any sense, but they have a metaphorical meaning and often require slightly deeper thought.
Overall, this album was a great change to the annoying Pop music that floated into my head and was stuck there. There were fantastic lyrics and great guitar and bass and drumming. This was a great change from manufactured music and I definitely recommend this album to you.
Mixed, not what it should be..., 11 Dec 2007
FOB's second `official' album and their first recorded on Island Records, is a mixed bag.
FOB continue their fast american pop in some style, but in this album they have added some more elements to limited success. The album starts slow, but has some good songs in the middle. Despite continuing with their stupid names, "I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth (Summer Song)" is pretty good. However the album kinda falls dow in the later tracks, as screamo doesn't really mix with the pop punk elements, and the poetry in "Get Busy Or Get Busy Dieing" is really out of place. These elements have possibly accredited to their "emo" status.
Overall, FOB's album is mixed, and possibly not what it should be. Not an essential purchase, but if you really are obsessive, go buy it.
Score : 5 out of 10
Tracks to Download : Sugar We're Going Down, I've Got A Dark Alley...
Rubbish , 06 Nov 2007
I don't even need to open the CD case to know that this is a waste of time. It's just been sitting on my shelf for ages, years maybe.
Rubbish..."Don't ask me how, I just know, I've always just known".
Brilliant album, 29 Oct 2007
This is a great album and it is equally brilliant as Infinity On High ( there most recent album ) and it's predecessor, Take This To Your Grave. This is one of thse albums that you can listen to and enjoy over and over again, and you won't get tired of it.
The songs on this album are consistently brilliant all the way through, this occurs in all the Fall Out Boy albums so far, and I definitely prefer it than when albums play all the good songs first and then leave all the worst songs to last. Most of the songs on this are extremely catchy and you will most likely be humming them to yourself for ages afterwards.
This is a great album and I highly reccomend it to almost anyone, it may appeal a bit more to emo's, but this isn't just an album for emo's ( even if that may be it's target audience ).

Product Description
With their second album, Infinity on High, Fall Out Boy walk a fine line between emo darlings and American rock gods. The clever, angst-ridden outcast lyrics are still there (as on "I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off"), but this time around they display a cockiness that unusual for the scene that gave birth to them. And it's not just in the borderline godlike hubris of album title Infinity on High, it's also present in the surly album-opening statement from Jay-Z ("We dedicate this album to anybody who said we couldn't make it..."). But often, this self-assuredness works to their advantage. Musically, this is a much heavier and punchier album than its predecessor, and vocalist Patrick Stump sounds better than ever (aside from those rare, ill-advised uses of a vocoder). And they're willing to play around with their sound, as when a string section and mandolin add a dark-edged atmosphere to "Thks fr th Mmrs", or the horn arrangements on the album's epic highlight "The (After)Life of the Party" and "I've Got All This Ringing in my Ears and None in my Fingers". All this grandeur may not be in keeping within the punk ethic, but Fall Out Boy have left most of their punkier roots behind on Infinity on High and taken the first steps towards becoming a great American rock band. --Ted Kord

This is one the first albums that I can listen to completetly and say I love each and every song. I had to buy a second copy as I played my original too much that I became worn. This album was the perfect length for my drive from home to university each day. Can't wait for the next album to be released next month.
I don't usually review anything, but love this so much I had to...
Fall out Boy???? Who are they???, 12 Feb 2008
I have to admit I am a little out of touch with modern music, I like what I know and that does me fine. However on a random trip to my local record store I couldn't help but tap my feet as I walked round. I didn't know who it was playing through the store speakers but loved their upbeat cheeky sound so curiousity got the better of me and I had to go ask a shop assistant. "Fall Out Boy" she said. Nope, sorry never heard of them, but I still went directly to the shelf and bought this album. I absolutely love it, can't stop playing it, it's on my ipod and accompanies me to work, I have it on in the background when I'm doing the housework and I even play it when I'm working out.
A great album, loads of catchy tunes and even better songs you can sing along to whilst you imagine yourself being a groupie at a concert.
Buy it....... you won't regret it!!!!!
Brilliant!!!!!!!!, 15 Jan 2008
God it is the best album i brought in ages. anyone who has heard fall out boy should buy this album !!!! rock ON
It got me on a high alright, 03 Jan 2008
I heard a few of Fall Out Boy's singles on Kerrang Radio and suddenly knew that I would love the new album infinity on high, and it tured out that I did.
I like the way each song has a story and a special meaning to it. The way Patric Stump sings the songs and the way the song lyrics are written makes you think much more about what the song means.
One of the things I like about Fall Out Boy is the names they choose for their songs for example: "I've Got All This Ringing In Ears But None On My Fingers." Just by hearing the name of a song like that would most definitly make me want to listen to the song or maybe find out about the artist. I think the best song on the Album is Thriller because I like the lyrics and the tune of the song.
I Think That Fall Out Boys Album is very good album and I think that you should buy it.
Almost 5 stars, almost., 03 Jan 2008
There are some very, very good songs on this album. Especially at the beginning, but I feel the end of the album is kind of a let down. I loved Thriller; The Take Over, The Breaks Over; This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race; and Thnks fr th Mmrs. But nearing the end I felt a little disapointed. They were okay, but not nearly as good as some of the others. One song near the end, I've Got All This Ringing in my Ears and One on my Finger (I'd swear it was "and None on my Fingers") struck me as being very different from the other songs, and is the only song I liked at the end.
If you listen to this album and find you love each and every song, then buy it! If you find you don't like some, like I did, then buy it anyway, the other songs are so good they are worth paying for.

All we know is.....this is amazing........, 29 Oct 2008

Different style by Rise against but i love it , 30 Oct 2008
Yes its a bit more of a mainstream approach but i still love it, Its less experimental than The sufferer and the witness, but personally i have all of their albums on shuffle with some protest the hero and sometimes i find it hard to think what album they are off just listening to it, Best album by them personally.
Get it now!, 22 Oct 2008
Having read several negative reviews about this album before its release date I pretty much expected it to disappoint.
The first two tracks are a predictable Rise Against sound and I started to worry that the reviews I had read were not far off the mark. Hell no! This album rocks! Some of it sounds slightly more mainstream than previous albums but the majority of tracks are lyrically brilliant and original. From Heads Unworthy and Entertainment are my out and out favourites but the whole album is well worth listening to, on repeat. Get it now!
...uh...wow., 21 Oct 2008
Another sensational album from the best band of their generation.Life changing, meaningful, poetic, powerful, emotional and hardcore...only rise against. The best tracks on the cd are Hero of War, Audience of one,Entertainment, Collapse, kotov syndrome and Saviour but there are NO bad songs. The song structure is quite similar throughout bu thats the only valid criticism i can think of.If i could give this album 10 stars i would...seriously.
More From The Best In The World..., 19 Oct 2008
First of all,This is another great album from the best band in the world. Its an essential purchase and any fan of rise against will already own it.Those who have never listened to Rise Against have been missing out for too long and need to start,Appeal To Reason is a good place to start doing so.Its not their best album yet,(Which is Revolutions per minute by the way) But is roughly on par with The Sufferer and The Witness and features two of rise Againsts very best songs ever:Hero of War and Audience of One.Theese two songs are worth the asking price alone,THEY'RE REALLY THAT GOOD.In addition, Other great tracks include Collapse,Kotov Syndrome,Entertainment and Saviour.Thats not to say the other songs aren't exeptional in their own right.Every track on the album is supremely listenable,Incredibly written and get better every time you hear them.Whilst their style may have altered over the years,They are still the best band in the world and anyone with a slight love for punk/metal/rock will love Rise Against and will not be dissapointed with this album...they will be enlightened and expireience what music truely is...(WARNING-RISE AGAINST WILL MAKE ALL OTHER FORMS OF ROCK MUSIC PALE IN COMPARISON. SO BE PREPARED TO DEDICATE YOURSELF TO THE BEST)
An album full of 'entertainment', 09 Oct 2008
If your into rise againsts new sounding songs like The sufferer and the witness album you will like this one, and will want to buy this album.
Appeal to Reason isnt as impressive as the sufferer and the witness but its definately worth buying.
As ive heard people who liked Rise Against's older albums which where slower and heavier sounding then dont expect that on this album the sound of these songs are most similar to sufferer and the witness.
I personally like all Rise Against songs, but i like the way they are heading i recommend this alubm it is great with songs like savior and re-education through labour also the acoustic hero of war is pretty cool too.
And the songs still carry meaning rock on forever Rise Against!
