Product Description
Whilst easily one of the most distinctive female pop vocalists of the last ten years, with her hot-headed persona and torching rock vocals barrelling through empowered songs both infectious and tender, P!nk did step back into line somewhat for more one-size-fits-all last album I'm Not Dead. Her voice aside, there was little pull her apart from her peers or to suggest she'd ever again go on to release anything as definitive as her breakthrough album M!ssundaztood. But whether driven by young pretenders like Katy Perry making a grab for her crown or by that perennial emotional motivator--break-up (she was divorced between albums)--Funhouse utterly redeems P!nk. From the front cover through most tracks on the record she stokes the wild-child inside herself that made her famous in the first place, but in most examples there is also evidence of a fostering maturity, whether in the crystal beauty and depth of ballads "Glitter In the Air" or "I Don't Believe You" or the firm-handed command of more built-up tunes like the Red Hot Chili Peppers vs. Joan Jett coarseness of "Sober" or sassy rocker "Boring" that somewhat improbably combines The Dandy Warhols' "Horse Pills" and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' "Get Ready For Love" as though delivered by the Pussycat Dolls. And maturity aside, bold first single "So What" and future-funk swing dance "Bad Influence" are about the catchiest, and indeed gutsiest, things she's delivered in years. --James Berry

P!NK: THE BEST SO FAR, 15 Nov 2008
I am not going to lie. I am a massive p!nk fan. I love her. So i may be a little biased. But after a love hate relationship with the last two albums I must say this is worth your pennies. Its a beautifully crafted c.d with such ecclectic styles it fits any mood you maybe in.
Theres the first single so what (which I sometimes love and sometimes hate), but the songs which are the most beautiful are the ones sprinkled through the album.
Ave mary a : an amazing rock stomp.
Glitter in the air : a beautiful raw song which made me cry the
first time I heard it
i dont believe you : the most beautifully raw song on the album. MAKE THIS A SINGLE DAMMIT!
BUY THIS ALBUM!

Entertainment of the highest order, loud proud and down to earth Rock and Roll, don't care what the modernist's call it. The album is not about sweet and honey relationships, but is real life like that anyway. I am going to Liverpool to see her live again, an experience nobody should miss .......... And I am 61 years old ....

All his hits and more!, 03 Nov 2008
First off you should probably know that as well as this 1-disc edition, there will also be a 2-disc CD/DVD edition released in 2 weeks time (November 17th). This 1-disc edition has an exclusive Hero remix that, as far as I know, will not be on the 2-disc version.
All Enrique's hits are here from Bailamos right up to Somebody's Me and besides the Hero remix there are two more new songs, Away which is a ballad featuring Sean Garrett and the up-tempo Takin' Back My Love featuring Ciara. Also on the album is the Euro 2008 song Can You Hear Me which didn't get released as a single in the UK so will probably be new to most of Enrique's British fans.
The new songs fit well amongst the established favourites like Hero, Rhythm Divine, Escape and Tired of Being Sorry and I strongly recommend this album to anyone who likes Enrique, whether you're a long-time fan or only just discovering his music.

Product Description
Yep--the artist formerly known as Hannah Montana is going it alone. Having conquered the teen market under her Hannah Montana moniker, 15-year-old Cyrus is now aiming for the adult world; or at least a slightly older audience. Breakout follows her dual-marketed Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus album, and differs from it in that she sounds a little more grown up, a little rougher around the edges, and just a touch more self-expressive. Needless to say, Breakout is produced to within an inch of its life. Every aspect, from concept to mixdown, has been polished and buffed to achieve that perfect tween sheen. Despite this resulting in a somewhat sterile and claustrophobic aura, the album manages to achieve some infectious moments. To her credit, Cyrus has co-written most of the songs here (all but two), which largely eschew electronic dancefloor sounds for a guitar-heavy ethic. The punchy title track (co-produced by the Go-Go's Gina Schock), the thrashy, catchy "7 Things" and the boyfriend putdown "Fly On The Wall" are immediate highlights, but ballads such as "Bottom of the Ocean" and her sped up version of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" are much less convincing. Breakout reveals a genuine young talent, but one that's perhaps being rushed way too quickly towards her prime.--Danny McKenna

i can't wait to hear it again, 06 Nov 2008
From being introduced to Miley Cyrus when she was just a 14 year old girl in Hannah Montana, this really is a 'breakout' from her alter-ego. Although some tracks do have the ensence of the teen-pop sensation Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus shines through with individuality.
1-Breakout - The beat to this song is awesome, however i find the lyrics quite 'tweeny' at the beginning but as you get through the song, Miley Cyrus pulls the song back! - 4/5
2-7 things - a great rock song, a song that you could really get into. what makes it more interesting is its possible association with nick jonas. either way, excellent song that everyone can relate to. 5/5
3-The driveway - Excels in her singing ability, excellent song, very pop/rock 5/5
4-Girls just wanna have fun - a Cyndi Lauper remake, i personally dislike the orginal song, due to it being overplayed and i always skip this version of it too. Takes Miley Cyrus back to a Hannah Montana persona, although her voice is still excellent on the track. 2/5
5-Full circle - One of my favourites, really shows what she has to give lyric/vocal wise, very catchy tune! 5/5
6-Fly on the wall - This is quite an electrionic track, so i suppose it depends on your opinion of that genre. good lyrics, very entertaining. after listening to it a couple of times, it really grew on me 3/5
7-Bottom of the ocean - a really good ballad, excellent lyrics and tune 5/5
8 - Wake up America - It has been said that this song is very 'hannah montana-esque, but i think that can be used with a pinch of salt. this song really shows Miley's love for America and making the most of her ability to teach the younger generation about global warming. 'i know you don't want to hear it coming from someone so young'- very clever, she is taking into account the adults in the from seat rolling their eyes, 'but in the back seat, yeah, they wanna hear it'- kids in the back, want to hear it and understand. 5/5 miley
9-These four walls - good ballad, lyrics and tune 4/5
10-Simple song - another good song, similar to most on the cd, still good beat and lyrics
11-Goodbye - really nice ballad with excellent lyrics, very touching song with a good story behind it. 5/5
12-See you again - probably going to be the most popular in clubs so will introduce a wider audience range. rock mafia remix really brought it up to speed 4/5
all in all, this is a great mix of rock and pop with some excellent ballads thrown in for good measure. really establishes miley cyrus as her own person away from hannah montana.
buyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it!!!
Sweet niblets it's brilliant !!, 09 Oct 2008
Being a 19 year old female some may say I'm too old to be a Hannah/Miley fan, but I don't care !! She's amazing and so's her music too. I would recommend this album to any pop fan. It's funky and catchy. My favourite songs would have to be "7 things", "Girls just wanna have fun", "full circle", "fly on the wall" and "see you again". Although these are my personal faves all the songs are easily 10/10 and I could listen to this album all day and night it's just amazing.
Breakout - Miley Cyrus, 17 Sep 2008
This is a fantastic breakaway albulm from Hannah Montana.
We are seeing the next big star develop here.
Good luck to Miley.
A great, enjoyable listen.
BREAKOUT!, 10 Sep 2008
THIS ALBUM IS EXCELLENT! miley has finally broken away from her "hannah montana" image! each song is flawless!
1-Breakout - The title track is amazing, really dancey, a classic pop tune! - 5/5
2-7 things - This song is a bit more rockier, but still great to dance to! 4/5
3-The driveway - An amazing song! Miley's voice sound amazing, another classic pop/rock hit for sure! 5/5
4-Girls just wanna have fun - To be honest, Miley kinda murders this track, it doesnt suit her voice, but still a good dance track! 2/5
5-Full circle - Pop genius! full of great lyrics and an amazing tune! 4/5
6-Fly on the wall - Well...not the best track, she sort of reverts to hannah montana here a little bit, but still good to dance to! 2/5
7-Bottom of the ocean - MY FAVE TRACK! an amazing ballad, with breathtaking vocals from miley! 5/5
8 - Wake up America - She sort of goes on a global warming kick here, not her finest, but a decent dance track! 3/5
9-These four walls - A really good pop/rock ballad with good lyrics! 4/5
10-Simple song - Sort of mixed on this one, nice backbeat, but nuthin particularly special about it! 2/5
11-Goodbye - An extremely nice ballad, with great vocals and lyrics! 4/5
12-See you again - HANNAH MONTANA OVERLOAD! but still a great dance track, with great vocals from Miley! 3/5
All in all, a great album packed full of dance tunes and beautiful ballads, my advice:BUY IT NOW!

it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.
Umbrella was an awesome lead single but it didn't persuade me to buy the album the first time round.
but now this release was out...i had to get it....and my gosh is it an amazing album.
it's the equivalent of Michael Jacksons' THRILLER album...amazing stuff.
Madonna did it with Like A Prayer....now Rihanna the r n b equivalent has done it...and made it entirely personal and extremely enjoyable.
while Britney Spears CIRCUS is gonna knock it off the top spot as the album of 2008(i'm sure it may do so as Womanizer is spectacular)...for now Good Girl Gone Bad is definately the album of the year just matched by Madonnas Hard Candy and beating Cyndi Laupers Bring Ya To The Brink and Britney's Blackout album of last year.
the tracks-
Umbrella-4/5-amazing lead single and record breaking with over 10 weeks in the #1 spot and a further 3 months in the top ten.
Push Up On Me-4/5-really lures you into the album with a fantastic vibe.
Don't Stop The Music-5/5-excellent use of MJ's Startin' Somethin.
Breakin' Dishes-5/5-another rutal and excellent song...and an instant fave of mine.
Shut Up & Drive-3/5
Hate Thet I Love You-4/5-a great duet with Ne-Yo.
Say It-3/5
Sell Me Candy-5/5-fantastic and my fave song on the album...a classic.
Lemme Get That-4/5
Rehab-5/5-emotive and an excellent beat that makes it pure and astonishing.
Question Existing-4/5
Good Girl Gone Bad-4/5
Cry(uk bonus track)-4/5-it beats last years mediocre Unfaithful(shudder)...pure great track...us lucky Brits.
Disturbia-5/5-i defy anyone who doesn't love this track.
Take A Bow-5/5-enchanting song and has a sheer beauty about it that you can't help but love...a pure and well deserved #1.
If I Never See Your Face Aagain-4/5-a great close to the album feat. Maroon 5.
Obviously De gustibus..., 08 Oct 2008
First off, i'm not commenting on this as a re-release or whatever, as it is the only Rihanna cd i own. I'd never delved into Rihanna (metaphorically or physically) until Umbrella caught my attention - it is an absolute cracker! And hearing her namedropped a lot, i invested when i found Good Girl... on sale. What a dissappointment! I'm sorry, but people who rave about this album are either pre-pubescent or musically inept. There are two outstanding trax, Umbrella and Cry (whose piano part I have spent some time improvising on and am still mesmerised by), with Please Don't Stop The Music and Shut Up And Drive being decent runners up. the rest is jus cheap or, at best, quirky filler. Nice cover design tho... (and off course, those eyes!)
Only worth it if you hadn't already purchased the original, 13 Sep 2008
The original version of Good Girl Gone Bad is a great RnB album with some catchy pop hooks and great beats. The singles such as Umbrella and Don't Stop The Music are obviously standout tracks, and Rihanna's shown off a very soulful side on tracks such as Rehab and Cry.
The problem is that this re-release (as with most re-releases) is NOT worth owning if you already bought the original, as most of Rihanna's fans will have. Having to purchase an entire album again for the sake of three tracks - however good those three tracks are - is just a waste of money. You'd be much better off downloading the extra tracks from iTunes or somewhere for a couple of pounds instead of forking out for the entire album again. If you count it up, there have now been no less than 7 singles released from this album and it's being stretched to breaking point - which is a shame, because the original album was a great piece of work and doesn't deserve to be beaten to death for a cash in.
Thus my two star rating is based on the lack of value in this re-release rather than the music itself. If you've yet to succumb to the charms of Good Girl Gone Bad then this album IS worth a purchase and three extra tracks will actually be beneficial for you - but in the case of Rihanna's fans this feels like a bit of a rip off.
Marketing and new fans win, 13 Sep 2008
When I saw the vid for Disturbia I got excited that a new Rihanna album was imminent, but was surprised to see it listed for Good Girl Gone Bad.
Found on Amazon the re-release with the 3 additional tracks.
Great marketing idea. Great for fans who didn't get the original album.
VERY disappointing for those of us who paid for the original.
I would be more impressed if these 3 tracks could become the start-up for a brand new album or, as another reviewer suggested, a special disc: my suggestion would be for a DVD release of the vids (which are stunning).
Rihanna is a fabulous talent and there must be much more to come.
3 tracks are gr8!!, 07 Sep 2008
its ok. i luvd her original album. and the 3 bonus tracks are BRILLIANT songs which is why i sold my last and got this one. and with it being reduced already, why not if the only bonus 3 tracks are great anyway?
but why did she re-release instead of releasing a new album with these tracks. that would have been better...

The new songs fit well amongst the established favourites like Hero, Rhythm Divine, Escape and Tired of Being Sorry and I strongly recommend this album to anyone who likes Enrique, whether you're a long-time fan or only just discovering his music.
i can't wait to hear it again, 06 Nov 2008

it wasn't until Disturbia and Take A Bow that i became a fan of this smashing R n B star....and i saw this album for a great pice and i got it.

Disappointed, 17 Nov 2008
I bought this CD mainly because I wanted 'about you now'. The track on the CD is nothing like the single and I feel it's a cynical attempt to make you buy the single as well. Very disappointed.
Sweet / Funky / Their best album yet!!!!!!!, 14 Nov 2008
You on a Good Day - Motown cool sound
No Can do - Sounds like the Jackson 5 in places - Good
Hanging on a star - Great funky Song - catchy sing along one

Sunday Rain - Classic Slow Anthem (Jazzy)
Every Heart Broken - A unwrapped story - gorgeous - a sure hit!

She's like a Star - Very Catchy!!
Hits the mark, 12 Nov 2008
I did not expect much from this album and of course it turns out to be really good, and one of the Sugababes' best. The songs are all well produced with sharp clear diction to really show off the girls' vocals. There is a nice contrast of tracks and I just love the breezy up-tempo songs that have a real feelgood feel. Very good album.
Not The Same Without Mutya., 09 Nov 2008
I am afraid i found this album to be another badly written offering from the Sugababes. I miss the super high quality songwriting that used to happen when Mutya was with them. I used to love he 'girl power' attitued and super charged melodies. That now for me has all but gone. The odd song they write is good, but on the whole it's pretty awful. Don't like some songs that are a 'throw back' to the sixties. Bring back the modern up-tempo and inspirational music that has been void since 'Taller In More Ways'. Very very disappointing. :(

The new songs fit well amongst the established favourites like Hero, Rhythm Divine, Escape and Tired of Being Sorry and I strongly recommend this album to anyone who likes Enrique, whether you're a long-time fan or only just discovering his music.
i can't wait to hear it again, 06 Nov 2008

Boyz are back!, 09 Nov 2008
Since they parted 8 years ago there have been many releases of their greatest hits in one form or another. Being a die hard fan I had purchased them all but they all had tracks which had preiously been available. The boyz are breaking new ground wih this album. Not only has it got all of their hits (which you had with 90% of the other greatest hits released) you have new tracks. With the new single and two other new tracks. This delux edition also offers some fantastic extras which are well worth a viewing! If you are not too keen on their new style then I wouldn't bother buying this as it is no different to all the others but for all true fans, yet again this is another must have!! After listening to this I feel 14 again!!
DVD does play on North American players, 07 Nov 2008
Great band but this review is just to inform potential buyers from the US that the DVD suprisingly plays on my US dvd player. I have a region free player when needed but this one is NTSC for some reason. I wonder how the Eupropeans watch it?
Michelle, 22 Oct 2008
I already own the Boyzone Greatest Hits album but had no problem purchasing Back Again... No Matter What for their new material.
The album presents a good selection of their previous hits including No Matter What and A Different Beat but, unfortunately, does not contain hits such as Key to My Life and So Good. That's the only negative I can find in the whole album! The songs are all really varied in style and presented well; you can never doubt their strength as a band and their harmonies are always pitch perfect. This is continually proven during all of their live performances!
Their new material is very interesting and varied in style from the 60's sounding Love You Anyway to the beautiful ballad that is Better. I think Ronan and Stephen's voices have improved dramatically over the years which, since they were pretty strong vocally from the beginning, is really good!
On the whole I'd definitely recommend this album to anybody who enjoys music that makes you happy and puts a smile on your face. You can't fail to want to sing along or hum along to most of the tracks :-). Obviously if you're not a fan of boybands or want to remain loyal to a single group then, perhaps, you won't enjoy this album (stranger things have happened!). If this is the case then the most simple piece of advice I can offer is just don't listen to it - simple as that :-). To those of you that remain undecided it's definitely worth keeping an open mind and having a listen because I really and truly believe that Boyzone are one of the strongest bands we've ever had and, perhaps, will ever have the pleasure of listening to/seeing perform.
welcome back boyz, 19 Oct 2008
id just like to say i think its great to have the boyz back where they belong and i think with this album (especially the new stuff) they will prove that they deserve all the success theyve had and will have in the future.
